A large terrace with a chimney enables the family to enjoy the open air throughout the year
A fusion of styles The living room welcomes visitors to Patricia Darch’s home with an impressive Swarovski crystal glass lamp. The room has been designed in various styles which contrast perfectly and result in a living room that has its owner’s personal identity. On the elegant Schotten Hansen wooden floor, for instance, there is a modern Gamma International white leather sofa, a functional 3.30-metre-long silver leaf Presotto bookcase The dining room hosts a magnificent Gran Casa table matched with leather Arte España chairs. The modern touches are also combined with classical details, such as an old carved wooden door providing access to the room and a beautiful 19th-Century sideboard.

and informal area for eating and a place of refuge for relaxing, with a cosy fireplace designed by the artist Jessica Darch and some comfortable armchairs. The final touch to the kitchen is provided by the wall, finished in Venetian plaster with gold particles, and the floor, made of large pieces of old stone. The living room also has all kinds of decorative details, works of art and memories. The designer’s penchant for the artist David Marshall, a great friend of hers, catches the eye. She owns a large number of his works, including the banister that leads to the mansion’s top floor master suite.
