At Gulf Coast Health Care (GCHC), our centers offer personalized care and attention in a comfortable, homelike environment for the patient and their family! We focus on helping our residents live as independently as possible.

Our skilled nursing centers provide outstanding care and services for a complete range of needs. We provide vigilant, 24-hour care for people who need specialized nursing and therapy from illness, injury or surgery.

We offer a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, rehabilitation therapists, dietitians, social workers and direct caregivers are dedicated to providing the highest standards of care in pursuit of the best possible quality of life for each individual.

Our services serve our community for both short-term and long-term care needs. Our short-term rehabilitation services are for people recovering from hospitalization, injury or illness.

Our long-term care needs consist of nursing (and nonnursing) services for residents with chronic illness or disability and who are unable to care for themselves and live independently.

Our locations throughout Western Florida provide a variety of skilled nursing and rehabilitative services designed to support, strengthen, and restore health as best as possible.

Common short-term rehabilitative conditions include: Postsurgical Care Congenital Deformity Hip, Knee or Back Surgery Parkinson’s Disease Wounds that Don’t Heal Fractures & Soft-Tissue Conditions Cardiovascular or Neuromuscular Disorders

Our long-term care provides extended medical care, including rehabilitative care, to individuals with clinically complex problems or who have multiple acute or chronic conditions. These services are provided through (but not limited to): Rehabilitation Respiratory Therapy

Many of our locations offer several specialty programs for short-term and long-term care patients to include: Cardiac Care: Nutrition counseling, exercise, physical activity and management of weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes and more.

Respiratory Care: Specialized services for acute or chronic lung disease, and licensed respiratory therapists for those needing an even higher level of care.

Onsite Dialysis: For patients who need dialysis for kidney disease, some Gulf Coast Health Care centers offer in-house dialysis, a significant benefit in comfort and convenience.

Wound Care: Comprehensive wound management to best address each patient’s unique needs.

Surgical Recovery: Individualized, comprehensive treatment plans-carried out by trained professionals-to achieve realistic goals and maximum independence.

Stroke Rehabilitation: A comprehensive team approach from well-trained professionals to get you back to your highest functional status.

IV Therapy: Complete capabilities for intravenous therapy needs, and IV therapy delivered and managed by caring, knowledgeable nursing professionals.

Bariatric Care: Nutritional counseling and management, specialized equipment, exercise therapy and the all-import­ant psychosocial support bariatric patients need.

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care: At certain Gulf Coast Health Care centers, we are specially dedicated to care for people suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

Hospice & Palliative Care: A medical and philosophical approachand system of services and care-to maximize quality of life at the end of life or for life-limiting illness.

COVID-19 Care and Recovery

At our Gulf Coast Health Care centers, the safety and wellbeing of our patients is our top priority. We take all COVID protocols and safety measures very seriously, following all guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to reduce the spread and impact of COVID-19.

All COVID-19 positive patients are taken care of in designated isolation units. Our associates are provided and required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) along with our patients to ensure both patients and associates are protected to limit any transmission of COVID-19 and any other viruses or pollutants. Our centers are disinfecting high touch surfaces throughout the day, along with weekly center wide disinfecting processes.

We screen associates and patients daily with an expanded list of symptoms. Testing is provided as needed for all patients and frequency set per county positivity rate for associates. In addition, because COVID-19 is a strong airborne virus all of our centers have been supplied with Rensair air filter units that capture and kill 99.8% of pollutants. The units are deployed in visitation areas as well as throughout the centers.

These Rensair air filter units or more effective and safer than any other air purifier on the market, meeting the criteria set by the applicable States’ Department of Health and Federal regulators.

Visitation is determined by CDC guidelines and follows all CDC-guided criteria. All visitors are screened, must wear a mask; and must follow all CDC guidelines. Contact each center for further details.

GCHC has provided several clinics at the centers for healthcare workers and patients to receive the vaccinations at no cost. Most of our residents and employees are already fully vaccinated.

All new hires and new admissions, will be offered the option of receiving the single dose, Johnson and Johnson vaccine or the two shot dose, Moderna Vaccine.
