OUR KEYNOTE PRESENTER MARCELA MANJARREZ HAWN SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & CHIEF COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER- CENTENE CORPORATION Marcela Manjarrez Hawn serves as the Senior Vice President, Chief Communications Officer for Centene Corporation. In this capacity, Marcela oversees all strategic communications for the company, including the planning and development of programs that effectively describe and promote Centene, its services, and its products. Marcela oversees all media and public relations across the Centene enterprise, including all health plans and specialty subsidiaries, in addition to serving as its main media spokesperson. She also manages the Centene Charitable Foundation, which makes substantial contributions to initiatives that improve the quality of life and health in our communities. Marcela has more than 20 years of experience in economic research, analysis, and strategic communications. Prior to joining Centene, Marcela was Vice President, Public Affairs for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. She led the external communications, industry relations, and public outreach functions for the bank, headquartered in St. Louis and serving all of Arkansas and portions of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee.


OUR KEYNOTE PRESENTER MARCELA MANJARREZ HAWN SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & CHIEF COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER- CENTENE CORPORATION Marcela earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and her master’s degree in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis. She serves on the boards of the Boy Scouts of America Greater St. Louis Area Council, the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, the Arts and Education Council, and the National Alliance for Hispanic Health. She also serves as an advisory board member for Washington University in St. Louis’ Center for Finance and Accounting Research. Marcela was recognized as one of the 2019 Most Influential Business Women by the St. Louis Business Journal, ranked No. 61 on the 2018 list of Top Latino Executives in Corporate America by Latino Leaders Magazine, and was honored as a Diverse Business Leader in 2017 by the St. Louis Business Journal.


OUR PANELISTS ELISABETH (SISI) BELTRAN DIRECTOR OF MARKETING BUILD-A-BEAR WORKSHOP SiSi grew up in Puerto Rico and St Louis to attend Washington University in 2000. In 2004, SiSi graduated with a BSBA from Olin Business School with majors in International Business, Marketing and Romance Languages. Upon graduation, SiSi joined Build-A-Bear Workshop where after sixteen years of service and several different roles, she currently is the Director of Marketing. SiSi is currently the President of the Olin Business School Alumni Board and on the Board of Directors for Casa de Salud, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Build-A-Bear Foundation. She has also served on the board for Forest Park Forever and has volunteered with the United Way of Greater St Louis in a variety of ways. She is a past graduate of Focus St Louis’ Leadership St Louis program and the recipient of several awards including the St Louis Business Journal’s Top 30 under 30 and Diverse Business Leader Award.


OUR PANELISTS TISHAURA JONES TREASURER- ST. LOUIS CITY Elected in 2012, St. Louis City Treasurer Tishaura O. Jones has transformed the Treasurer’s Office and Parking Division to increase transparency, integrity, and service. Her office’s new investment strategies have yielded over $25 million for the city.Jones also launched the Office of Financial Empowerment (OFE) to help St. Louisans make better financial choices. Its College Kids program has helped over 13,500 city students save nearly $1 million for higher education and a better future.Jones previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives as Assistant Minority Floor Leader, becoming the first African-American and the first woman to hold this position in Missouri history. Jones is now the first woman and the first African-American woman to serve as Treasurer in St. Louis history.Jones previously worked as Vice President of Municipal Finance for Blaylock Robert Van, LLC, a minority-owned investment banking firm, and as adjunct faculty at the Anheuser-Busch School of Business at Harris-Stowe State University.She has a Master’s in Health Administration from the Saint Louis University School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Hampton University. She also graduated from the Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She is also the proud mother of Aden.


OUR PANELISTS ADRIANA S. OCAMPO PROGRAM MANAGER: GTO STRATEGY & INTEGRATION BOEING GLOBAL SERVICES THE BOEING COMPANY Adriana Ocampo is an energetic and customer focused leader with 24 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Adriana poses a diverse functional background in engineering, operations, strategic work-placement, and business integration. Adriana is currently a member of the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Technical Operations Strategy team where she creates high-value solutions for Government customers, including go-to-market strategic planning for priority proposals to demonstrate competitive ability and commitments to US Navy and US Marine Corps. customers. Adriana currently serves on the National Board of Directors of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE); is a member of the University of Texas, Arlington IMSE Industry Advisory Board; and was recently nominated to be a member of the Dallas / Fort Worth Hispanic 100 Latina Leaders organization. Adriana holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri, Columbia and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Maryville University, St. Louis.


OUR PANELISTS DR. JULIA LÓPEZ PHD, MPH, LCSW, INSTRUCTOR OF MEDICINE, DIVISION OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE Dr. López is a public health researcher who uses her clinical practice skills to further advance the field of sexual health using public health and social work theories and frameworks. To date, she has worked to integrate her clinical expertise as a licensed social worker in community mental health settings and substance use treatment with the research design and methodology for analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating data across a myriad of settings and populations. Dr. López is focused on addressing gaps in research and clinical practices in the areas of sexual and gender minority (SGM) health, racial disparities, HIV care, and women’s health. Her goal is to engage and provide a platform for these populations through practice, research and community collaboration. Her focus is to reduce health disparities affecting SGM populations by understanding the mechanisms through which different types of trauma/minority stress impact mental health and substance use. She is committed to public health interventions and clinical care by way of behavioral and social science research, with a priority to maximize translation into community.
