Being successful in this 5-hour assessment class will allow you to register for Spanish Healthcare Interpreter Training. Upon successful completion of Spanish Healthcare Interpreter Training, students can appear for the national certification exam through either the Certification Commission on Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) or National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI). The student will need to satisfy all other pre-requisites specified by CCHI or NBCMI. Upon passing the certifying exam, students will become a Certified Healthcare Interpreter or Certified Medical Interpreter.

This 50-hour class meets the basic educational requirements for students seeking certification as a qualified healthcare interpreter. Upon successful completion of CEC 7099 - Spanish Healthcare Interpreter Training, the students can appear for national certification exam through either the Certification Commission on Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) or National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI). The student will need to satisfy all other pre-requisites specified by CCHI or NBCMI.
