February AM Connect with Assistance League - Sharing the Love on Valentine’s Day This year, our February AM Connect happened to be on Friday the 14th, which is also Valentine’s day. This special occurrence presented a unique opportunity as the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce partnered with Assistance League to create an event everyone is sure to remember. Starting at 7:30 a.m at The Assistance League of Huntington Beach, attendees found their way to the event room on the second floor and were welcomed to the AM Connect - “Sharing the Love.” Upon making their way inside, attendees were able to visit tables that hosted different local non-profits of the community. Each non-profit was happy to share upcoming events, fund-raisers and opportunities for business’ to get involved. Shortly after, a delicious breakfast was presented by Love at First Bite Catering. Each guest of the morning helped themselves to a serving and found their seat prior to the beginning of the pro-
gram. To begin the program was CIELO’s John Hobson. After taking a moment to recognize Board Members, Ambassadors, first time guests and new members, John took a brief moment to highlight the tremendous efforts that are currently made by the local non-profits of Huntington Beach. Moreover, he recognized the importance of collaborations between businesses and non-profits as well as non-profits working together. CIELO is a grassroots organization that empowers hardworking Orange County residents to pursue economic self-sufficiency. To accomplish this, CIELO starts by setting their clients on a path to success through two key areas: Entrepreneurship and Upward Mobility.
