How I Work
On your day, I work very quickly and efficiently. I’m a big proponent of not wasting time and taking advantage of every opportunity. For your portraits, I do what I call, “flow posing ” I talk a lot through my camera, therefore creating natural, emotional photographs that show your personality together. When working with family groups and bridal parties, my teacher voice comes out. Yes, my teacher voice (you’ll laugh, I promise)! We get down and dirty, even the craziest of groomsmen straighten up quickly! Even though your wedding day photographs are important to you, your day should not be spent taking hours and hours of photographs. There is simply no need. We get it done and get you to your party (and have loads of fun in between)!
I started photography back in high school (I can still smell the darkroom chemicals), and was reinvigorated after my kids were born. I opened Hazy Lane Studios in 2011 and haven't looked back. In my non-photography life, I have an amazing and supportive husband (we were married in September 2005), and two silly girls that are both smart, athletic, and full of life. We love adventuring around the world, attending A’s games, and parkhopping at Disneyland. August through May, you can find me in H-4 at Wells Middle School in Dublin where I teach Leadership, Yearbook, and of course Photography! I have been teaching for 19 years now and love inspiring future leaders as well as photographers
HazyHazy is a bit of a nick-name for my oldest daughter, Hayden. She looks like a carbon copy of me, but she has the kind and giving heart of her father. She enjoys ballet, soccer and softball!
LaneLane is often what we call my youngest daughter, Delaney. A competitive gymnast, she's a tenacious little one She looks like her Dad, has the personality of her Mom, and a shoe obsession like her Auntie.

The investment includes full day photography* with Karey and her assistant, online gallery, and all edited images in full resolution on a USB. 4500.

BOOKING POLICY
Booking requires a 30% deposit and a signed contract. Everything is completed online.
A-la-carte items can be added at anytime.
Dates will not be held without a deposit and contract.

If you ' re looking for a photographer for your special event look no further! We got married on 5/23/21 at Sunol's Casa Bella. We worked with Karey at Hazy Lane for our engagement photos and wedding. It was an amazing experience!!! There aren't enough words to adequately express my appreciation for Karey! If you want a talented photographer that is honest, kind, and easy to work with - this is your place! I had to plan my wedding three times because of Covid. Yes, three times! Because of that I feel an extra bond with all of my vendors One of our postponements involved our wedding getting cancelled the day before the wedding because of fires/ smoke conditions. During each pivot Karey remained supportive and patient Colors changed, venues changed, but Karey's level of commitment to making our wedding picture perfect was constant I sent her SO many texts and emails with questions, and each time she was responsive! She has the perfect combination of talent and professionalism. She executed exactly I wanted by listening to me but also offered her expert advice. We faced so many wedding hurdles, but every time it came to photography, I felt a sense of ease working with Karey. Overall, I'm proud to say our wedding day was perfect! Karey kept us on schedule with our timeline but managed to make everything feel seamless and stress free. We cannot thank Karey enough. We highly recommend Hazy Lane for anyone looking for a wedding photographer!
Karey is worth her weight in gold as a wedding photographer In my opinion, there are two things to look out for when booking a photographer - first, do they take good photos? Her work speaks for itself. Her style is soft and romantic, yet her attention to detail is stunning. Each photo has so many more layers to it than first meets the eye, and with 1,700 from our day to choose from, there was no element of the day that was missed
Second, and most importantly, Karey is incredible to work with Her experience and professionalism went SO FAR in planning for our wedding. I felt I could completely trust in her to do her job, which left me with one less thing to worry about on the big day. She was incredibly open to hearing about my style and preferences and got all of the shots I told her were important. She kept the wedding party and family in line, was quick and efficient, and made my husband and I feel so at ease during our couple photos. She had previously worked with my planner and videographers - and it was evident that they knew when to get in and out of eachothers way, and the final products were all the better for it

Karey was great! She always responded to emails promptly and was very organized. After booking with her, she checked in with me and my now husband periodically and sent us reminders, which helped us stay on top of things and eased our minds leading up to our big day. On our wedding day, Karey provided direction to our large (and a bit rowdy) bridal party with ease and captured incredible shots. My husband and I are so happy with our wedding gallery, and we are so happy we selected Karey as our wedding photographer!
Karey is everything you would want in a photographer and more! I can't say enough about what an amazing job she did through the entire process. Her knowledge of the wedding industry is just one of the many extra perks you get when you work with her I was very overwhelmed with picking vendors that I didn't know and Karey was more than happy to make suggestions as we needed them With her help our wedding day was perfect! I hired Karey to take our wedding photos at SF City Hall and I can’t even put into words how beautiful every single photo is. I literally had THE hardest time narrowing down the photos for our album – I wanted them all!! The album is gorgeous and such beautiful high quality lay flat images – it’s a work of art in itself. Karey is professional, courteous, and is great at giving direction (which you need at a wedding!) Her fun, bubbly personality makes the photos that much better And her laugh – oh my goodness, it’s the best You have a grand old time taking photos, she definitely makes it the best experience!
