SPRING 2026 ELECTIVES

![]()

Our elective programme gives every Year 7 and 8 pupil the chance to explore new interests, build real skills, and experience learning in a different way. The children will choose from a wide range of practical, creative and active opportunities — each designed to challenge them, spark curiosity and develop confidence. Each elective sits within one of our strands, shown by the symbols throughout the booklet. These strands help families see the balance of experiences on offer, from physical activity and wellbeing to creativity, leadership, enterprise, STEM and service to others. Pupils will make their selections with you at home. They will list a first, second, third and fourth choice, and we will allocate places as fairly as possible based on interest and group sizes. Electives take place on Friday afternoons, and children will commit to their chosen option for the full Spring term. Each poster outlines what the elective involves, the skills it develops, and whether a contribution is needed. This programme reflects our commitment to nurturing confident, compassionate learners who are willing to try new things and take pride in their personal growth. We hope your child enjoys exploring what’s on offer this Spring.
