Logo Brand Guidelines 2018

v 1.0

Index

Equality Logo Brand Guidelines These guidelines were created to provide clarity when using the Equality logo variations and master brand. They are applicable to the creation of both digital and print assets as well as a reference for vendor use in the creation of swag and large print materials. General

Full Color

Knocked out

The full color version of the Equality logo is the primary word mark. We suggest placing it on a light, simple background. Do not alternate between this and the knocked out version without a valid reason. Using the full color logo strengthens our brand recognition so the less it is alternated, the stronger our brand becomes.

The knocked out version was created as a back up for when the logo sits on a dark background. The blues within the equality symbol are light enough so that they would still read in these cases- do not change the full color logo to all white. The colored equality symbol is meant to act as a recognizable icon and not including it weakens the brand. 3

Use

Pairing with Other Graphics The acceptable logo and icon clear space (x) is equal to the height of the “Q” when paired with the Salesforce cloud or a partner brand. Measure the clearspace starting from the logo’s baseline- shown here as the lower dashed line. No graphics or complicated background elements should exist within this space. 5

Misuse

• Do not change the color of logo yourself • Do not add any effects • Do not stretch the logo vertically or horizontally • Do not pair with other logos without proper clear space • Do not remove elements to create other word marks • Do not set the logo against a complicated background 6

Misuse

Trailhead Look & Feel Salesforce’s Trailhead theme, which relies heavily on cartoon versions of outdoor spaces, might not always match the tone of Equality events. Using the Trailhead guide requires permission from the Equality team, however it is suggested to avoid them all together. Avoid using the desert landscapes altogether. 7

Misuse

Astro & Friends Though Equality lives within the Salesforce brand, the cheerful tone set by Astro and friends is often not appropriate for our collateral. Do not use without approval of the office of Equality. 8

Special Use Cases

All White Type

EQ Icon

The all white version of the Equality logo is not an alternate for the full color version. It should only be used in very special cases such as embroidery or apparel printing with good reason. When using darker backgrounds, use the knocked out version.

The EQ logo is for rare use cases in which the full logo would be unreadable. This is not intended to take the place of the Equality logo as it does not have the same brand recognition. Use of this icon requires permission from the Equality team. 9
