Artist in Residence 2025

Niamh McGrath

As part of my residency, I am delighted to announce my involvement in an intergenerational project Common Ground in collaboration with Cultural Companions and Transition Year students from Sligo Grammar School. This unique initiative aims to unite diverse perspectives and talents, fostering creativity and connection across generations.

Throughout the residency, I will be facilitating a series of dynamic workshops to support our project, culminating in a showcase of short performances in May as part of the prestigious Bealtaine Festival

In addition, I am excited to host a summer camp for young creatives aged 7–12 this June, providing a vibrant space for children to explore their imagination and develop their theatrical skills. Alongside my personal endeavour of writing my own show, I am looking forward to collaborating with community groups in Sligo to further enrich and amplify our local cultural landscape. This residency is a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and community, and I hope to inspire lasting connections through the arts.
