THE STORY OF A SYMBOL

Hawaiʻi Pacific University’s logo is much more than a mark on our campus flags and banners.

There is a story behind the making of our logo which symbolizes all that HPU emanates to the world.

Renowned designer Sig Zane created our logo in 2018, and it has fast become beloved by all.

The symbol is a contemporary interpretation of the shapes of leaves and the delivery of water and knowledge with five meanings behind-the-scenes:

Maka – Kumu and Haumana Auwai – Aloha, Pono, Kuleana Lama – Enlightenment Kumuwai – Source of Water Kahawai – Flow of Water

Financial Documents Submit your STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP (SFS) form and an official bank statement to I20@hpu.edu. Your bank statement must be issued within 9 months from the start of the semester showing sufficient funds to cover HPU’s total estimated costs as per the SFS form.

Housing Application Available for incoming freshman and transfer students who have submitted their $200 enrollment deposit.

Health Clearance Requirements Review health clearance requirements HERE. Hawai‘i Pacific University has partnered with Med+Proctor for the submission of immunization records.

International students submitting forms requesting a U.S. state & License Number can be left blank upon submission if you are located outside of the U.S. The original documents must be signed upon arrival to HPU. This can be done at HPU’s Health Clinic.

Transcripts and Test Scores Submit all final official transcripts to Admissions.

Submit all final official exam scores to Admissions (ex: SAT, ACT, AP, IB, CLEP, DANTES, TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, etc.).

Degree-seeking students only: Students who choose not to submit test scores or applicable transfer credit will need to take Writing and Math Placement tests so we can help you register for the appropriate courses you need. PLACEMENT TESTS can be taken at HPU or remotely.

Registration Students can register for classes once their transcript(s) have been evaluated, or standardized or placement test scores are received.
