Road to be closed

Say NO to ASB!

In recent weeks there have been a number of incidents that have caused concern to residents of Highfield Towers and Havering Council is now cracking down on this Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Examples of ASB include:

• noise nuisance • drug taking and dealing • threatening or rowdy behaviour • violence and disorder • vandalism

The demolition of the existing Community Centre will begin on Monday 3 April and will take about two weeks. During that time the parking and recycling areas next to the existing hall will not be available and the access road between it and Highfield Towers will also be closed. Residents and public access to the rear of Highfield Towers will only be via the road on the other side of the flats. Once the demolition is completed this access road is likely to will be closed occasionally until the new building is on site.

The Council’s Community Wardens will be making extra patrols in the area and we are working closely with Havering Police for further patrols in the area to combat crime.

Building being constructed

Tell us about anti-social behaviour

The pre-fabricated building is now under construction by Northamptonshire based Scotts of Thrapston, specialists in the design, manufacture and installation of such buildings. The finished community centre will include a large hall for events and be put to good use by local organisations alongside a kitchen, toilets and an office. The building will be fully accessible for people with disabilities.

Tenants who are responsible for ASB can have their tenancy terminated leaving them and their family homeless. To help us investigate, please follow the stages below:
