Professional Development (CPD) Courses in Singapore

During the whole online course, participants are required to have their video cameras on and to show their full faces and full names until the teacher or speaker ends the session. This is in line with the rules that CEA has set up. The CPD course Singapore will not recognize the attendance of participants who do not meet this standard, and those participants will not get CPD credits for their attendance.

During audit checks, CPD course providers must give CEA pictures or snapshots of people taking part in online course sessions. These pictures should show the players' faces clearly and include all of their names.

If a participant can't or won't meet the above requirements, they won't get CPD credits for taking the course, and the course providers are expected to let them know as soon as possible. SEAA may be able to help people in affected classes find other solutions, if those solutions are available.

CPD Requirement

The Council for Estate Agencies will start to use a new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework on October 1, 2019.

The courses that are now called Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses but used to be called Core courses are part of the Professional Competencies group. These lessons give salespeople the chance to learn more about how estate agencies work and grow as salespeople.

As part of the new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Framework, all sellers must take a CPD course in the Generic Competencies area. This course, which used to be called a "non-core" course, will help salespeople improve their soft skills and general personal growth. This overarching term, "Generic Competency," has 18 subheadings, some of which are "leadership," "digital literacy," "communication," and "creative thinking."

If you want to learn more about the New CPD Framework, you can find it on the CEA website.

To fulfill the CPD rule, you will have to take CPD classes that fall under the Generic Competencies umbrella. You can't trade credits you've earned in the Generic Competencies for credits you've earned in the Professional Competencies. This is done to make sure that salespeople work on improving their skills in areas like service, leadership, and digital literacy that are important but not directly connected to their job. These are things that have nothing to do with what a salesperson knows about their job.

The Estate Agents (Licensing and Registration) Regulations of 2010 say that one of the things that must be done to renew a license or registration is to get ongoing professional development hours. If they don't follow the rules, their registration will be affected, and they could be taken off the Public Register.

FAQ Regarding CPD Registration

Important: If you want to join the Zoom conference on your mobile device, make sure you have got the Zoom software from the Play Store (for Android devices) or the Apple Store (for iOS devices). If you are looking at the class on a desktop or laptop computer, you should download the tool or program (which is optional).

This is true even if you can get to the class with the internet browser you usually use.
