Google Meet

Google Meet (created in 2017) allows people to create a call and present things they want to show. A perfect tool during covid to use to teach students because it allowed students to learn at home while they were not allowed to be in school. It was also used by many companies and businesses to conduct meetings while employees could work from home.

My Story

During the second semester of 9th grade

Covid-19 had struck and changed the way I was used to learning. I had to learn completely online and didn’t have to go to school, I just needed to join a google meet on my laptop. This caused me to have a lack of in-person interaction and slowly made me worse at being able to socialize with people. This also made me more isolated and to myself which caused a lot of mental health problems and feelings of depression and loneliness. This was significant to my life because it affected me when thinks started returning to normal and I went back to inperson learning because I lost that ability to socialize and with my mental health declining, I did worse in school too. Not wanting to do assignments or tests because I couldn’t find the motivation to do so.
