1. Coordinate, don’t match!
Gone are the days of matching tshirts and jeans! Instead, focus on coordinating outfits. I suggest Mom picks her outfit first, then build the family’s color scheme around it. Choose 2-3 complementary colors, including neutrals and a pop of color, to tie everything together.

Earth tones photograph beautifully year-round. I love bold colors like burnt orange, mustard yellow, dark green, and terracotta, as well as earth tones like blush, ivory, sage green, khaki, dusty blue, and warm greys. Mixing these tones is great— think Mom in an ivory dress and Dad or kids in mustard or orange. Don't be afraid to add color for a vibrant pop in your photos!

3. Textures & Prints
I love when families choose outfits with texture—like lace, tweed, or chambray,. Prints are great, but avoid fine stripes, which can distort in photos. Opt for one bold pattern, and coordinate with smaller patterns or solids. Plaid, floral, and gingham are some of my favorites.
4. Long & Midi Length Dresses for the Ladies!

For moms, these outfits are flattering and hide selfconscious spots, plus they allow for movement, perfect for playful shots. If dresses aren't your style, a skirt and top combo offers a dressier alternative to your everyday look
5.ACCESSORIES!
Accessories are a great way to add texture and fun to your sessions. Laying is a great way to spice things up. Think chunky cardigans, scarves, beanies, fun, eclectic jewelry, jackets, and HATS! Hats are a favorite of mine.
