Origami art. It can be so much more than just a paper. A crumbled or folded paper could make a ver y cool and unique shape. W ith ever y variation of fold, a new shape emerges. By combining multiple units folded from singular piece of paper, these origami can make an interesting and impressive model. The shape is simple, yet when we combine all the units together, it become a ver y beautiful piece of geometric.

Unique, simple, clean and elegant. These are the things that I want to relate with the market. Not only the foods are high quality, the environment in the market are clean and hygiene. Cleanliness is really important when it comes to our food and it is one of the most important practice we maintain in our environment in order to create a clean and healthy life. The origami concept is ver y refreshing and it is perfect for a young foodie and hipster crowd that are living within the community.

In this project I will have different client for each floor. Working with different client at once will be a little challenging. Since they want a house where they can live in a long run, it is needed to include universal design. It means that my design is going to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible. It must be accessible and usable for all users. For that reason, I believe my concept is strongly support my idea of design for the projects.

Earth, Fire, Water and Air are the four elements that is very important. Each floor will have different element combined with earth element. A lot of wood material will be use to represent wood which is from the earth element. The first floor concept will combined with air element, the second floor will be the water element and the third floor will be the fire element.

The site for this project is located in Pacific Heights neighborhood. The site is is walkable, bike-able and has a great public transportation. There are about 296 restaurants and coffee shops in Pacific Heights. People can walk to an average of 10 restaurant and coffee shops in 5 minutes. The site also has 1 cable car and 13 bus lines passing through it. It also has less personal crime and less property crime per person than San Francisco average.

Outside of the building there is Lafayette Park. It is a great outdoor spot in the middle of Pacific Heights. There are also two bus stops right in front that lead to the neighborhood amenities. I believe by choosing the right location with an excellent transportation will lead us as interior designers to be more closer to our goal to create sustainable design.

THANK YOU

Thank you Lord, for the gift of life, for the gift of wonderful people I have met along my journey. To my family, thank you for walking with me when I needed support, thank you for walking ahead me when I needed guidance and thank you for waking behind me when I needed someone to watch my back. I wouldn’t be here without the love and support from you guys. To my one and only, I can’t thank enough for the support you’ve given to me. You make me want to be a better version of myself taught me to always strive for the best. Thank you for being there and always has my back no matter what. To my teachers, thank you for being a truly inspirational teacher. You brought out the very best in me. I will always be grateful for all the hard work and dedication you have given. To my dear friends in Indonesia and in the United States. Thank you for always listening to me, supporting me, and encouraging me. Thank you for being such a great person and wonderful friends to me. ***
