INTRODUCTION:-
PROJECT INTRODUCTION;
Yog Gram is a project by Patanjali Wellness which aims to provide healing through the treatments of Yoga, Naturopathy and Ayurveda for people either suffering from chronic diseases or just want to rejuvunate their lifestyles

WHY YOG GRAM-
It also accounts to major medical tourism that takes place in India for Ayush programmes and treatments and provides for relatively long term housing for people to live there and heal themselves through these natural treatments
It is meant to create a healing environment for people and provide them with the best in class treatments and therapies and maintain a healthy lifestyle by creating a village where people live and interact and connect with nature
It also creates employment opportunities for people who are relatively less educated and want to serve and volunteer proving them with basic food and shelter needs within the centre
Project Objectives-




To create a a self sustainable environment through use of natural building materials which help in creating healing environment

SITE LOCATION-

Project Aim

The Aim of the project is to create a wellness centre which provides for the treatments through Yoga, Naaturopathy and Ayurveda and also creating a healing built environment within the centre which promotes community living and healthy lifestyle
The medical tourism will subsequently develop an income flow which will help in the employment of sevaks and volunteers and their upliftment through proving them food and shelter
Project Need-
The major needs of the project are stated below:
To promote health and well-being through allied systems of Yoga Naturopathy and Ayurveda
To create spaces which help in enhancing social interaction and promote community living
To provide healing and therapies spaces which are physically compatible for the function and also mentally nurtures healing
To provide spaces which promote tourism through treatments and other recreational spaces
Site is located along the 165 Km Yamuna Expressway Highway which is a 8 Lane 150 m width Highway in Uttar Pradesh which connects Agra to Greater Noida via Mathura Aligarh Jewar Districts

STRENGTHS
The site is longitudinal towards N-S which allows for aligning building N-S for better climate response
Presence of a 15M water channel that share 2000m length with site brings a natural element to the site and can act as a resource as well as catchment area
Proximity to the river Yamuna gives opportunities for views
WEAKNESS
Presence of industries around can cause noise and disturb the wellbeing
Noise from the expressway can be a problem as it can disturb the peace and isolation required for the project
OPPORTUNITIES
Located along Yamuna expressway can be opportunity for facade development
The water stream offers opportunity to create ecosystem along it and to use it to create site features and landscaping
Opportunity to cultivate lands for medicinal plants as the land is fertile for agriculture

CONCEPT AND ZONING-



Patanjali Yog Gram in Noida is a unique initiative towards holistic wellness and connectedness As an architectural thesis you could explore the design and functionality of the campus and its impact on people's physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing
Thesis focuses on the following areas:
1 Designing for wellness - The architecture of the campus must promote a healthy lifestyle and provide a serene ambiance for individuals to practice yoga and meditation You could explore the use of natural materials, lighting, and spatial planning to create a harmonious environment and reduce stress levels
2. Sustainable design - Patanjali Yog Gram in Noida consciously promotes sustainable living As an architectural thesis, you could focus on the use of eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient design principles in the campus This could include passive solar design, rainwater harvesting, and waste management systems.
3 Designing for community - The campus promotes a sense of community and connectedness Your thesis could explore the design elements that foster social interactions and a strong sense of community among the residents and visitors




4 Heritage conservation - The yoga center is inspired by ancient Indian architecture As an architectural thesis, you could look at the preservation of traditional Indian design elements like courtyards, verandas, and jharokhas and their application in modern architecture.

PANCHKARMA

Is a sanskrit word that means five actions or five treatments This is a process used to clean the body of toxic materials left by disease, poor nutrition and environmental toxins Normally the body has the innate ability to efficiently process and remove these waste materials including the vitiated doshas Panchakarma is ayurvedic detoxification treatment Panch literally means (five) and karma means (therapeutic processes) panchakarma has three steps

Known as poorvakarma pradhankarma and paschatkarma
