BIOMEDICAL DESIGN Problem Statement The vicious itch-scratching cycle is a stress to any Dermatitis patients, hampering their return to noraml lifestyle.

A one week long project, the aim was to understand the Biomedical Design Process and apply it in a concept

UVNIX is a dermatitis cure light gun. Need Statement To reduce spreading of dematitis in pubescent girls to minimize the associated irritation.

The detector first detect the affected area after which a UV light kills microbes and bacteria. It is a non-invasive, zero-touch product which does not casue itching or irritation.

PACKAGING FOR DRY CUT FLOWERS Loose marigold flowers sold in the city have inneffiecient packaging as a part of their supply chain. The bags are made of woven polypropylene and carry around 60 kg of flowers. Four corners of the bag meet in the center to be tiedd into a knot. This casues around 2 kg of flower wastage regularly as flowers slip through th bag.




The goals of the new design were: 1. Time: Work fast in less time 2. Simplicity: Needs to be understood by everyone effortlessly 3. Cost and Manufacture: Affordable by anyone in the supply chain Brief To design packaging for dry cut flowers, which ensures longevity of flowers, eradicates wastage, and is quick and easy to use. After multiple design directions and iterations in them, the final product was a simple draw-string mechanism which could be easily pulled apart and drawn together. The product was effecient in packing, trasnporting and displaying the flowers as well.




BRA SIZING, FITTING AND MEASUREMENT SOLUTIONS Brassiere shopping is a taxing task. One can never find the perfect bra without having to try atleast 5 of them. In India, brassiere shopping also involves a lot of stigma and unawareness. Most women do not know that they wear the wrong bra size. Going to a store and asking for a fitting is perceived to be an embarassing activity. Furthermore, store assistants are usually men, due to which there is hesitation in open dialogue for the shopper.





Concept: A simple scarf in the trial room, which will aid the user to measure her bust without being embarassed. Work in progress....


THAT 70s RAIL SONG Through Hindi cinema, the Indian audience has long associated train travel as a romantic, fun experience which brings people togther. Done for the Indian Railways, this music vedio was an attempt at recereating the magic of the 70s style. A project undertaken as part of Open Electives 2016 at NID.
