I am an aspiring architect with a passion for design, sustainability, and urban planning. I am currently in my second year at the University of Liverpool pursing my Bachelor of Arts in Architecture for my RIBA Part 1 qualification, where I have learned to use design tools such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Photoshop to create and present architectural projects.
Alongside my studies, I have gained valuable work experience in the retail and hospitality sectors. I also work within the University of Liverpool as a student ambassador to the School of Architecture. These roles have enhanced my organisation, communication, and customer service skills, as well as my ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to the architecture industry and contribute towards an innovative future of architectural design.

Community cafe
Elevate: Art gallery
The parallel library Outdoor classroom
For the community cafe project the site was based in the Mediterranean climate of Cape Town, South Africa. The brief asked for a focus on the community and how the cafe could be integrated into the site and its wider context. The design was a concrete structure split onto two storeys; with the cafe on the ground level and the services placed into the basement. The north elevation was fully glazed to give views of the coastline.

The north facade is entirely glazed with a balcony attached to the main cafe space to overlook the Cape Town coastline and make full use of the sites views.

For the elevate project the client was an artist with a brief to design a space for him to display his artwork and be able to live above. The site was a fill-in between two existing buildings in Liverpool with a challenge to create some mystery amongst the public as to whether or not the artist actually lives there at all. The design considered the surrounding building materials and styles to effectively hide the living quarters on the upper storeys while being public and inviting into the gallery space on the ground level.

The design continues the brick facade of the buildings to the west while incorporating the arch of the pilgrim pub to the east. The merging of their facades gives the illusive idea of whether or not the artist lives there.

The project was based on a site in Birkenhead, the Wirral, with a brief split into two parts. The first to design a small cafe space on the site and the second to design a library on the site that is somewhat connected to the cafe designed previously. The design of the buildings themselves was undefined and could be taken in any direction desired. The design had a central atrium containing a void through all three storeys with north and south wings which connect it to the cafe space.

The library is arranged over three storeys each for a different purpose. The ground floor serves as a childrens library and cafe space. The first floor contains the offices and working spaces for people to book. The top floor is where the majority of academic bookshelves can be found. The central atrium acts as the achor to all storeys and is the main space within the design.

The outdoor classroom project followed a short brief to create an outdoor teaching space for the Liverpool School of Architecture. The design features a curved shape for the purpose of model making. One side is used as a workshop which is more concealed from the outside while the othe is much more open to be used as a place to display models to passers-by.
The developement of the curved shape was to be able to have two defining spaces that are linked but also serve individual functions. The roof panels were two rectangular slabs to contrast the curved ewall shape, held up by columns.
