Pattern Design BOOKLET #1

T

here’s probably someone you know who made potholders when they were a child. It’s one of those classic fun and easy hobbies that is still popular and useful today for people of all ages! Our custom metal Looms and cotton Loops are 100% High Quality American Made. Make colorful potholders for your home, as gifts or to sell at a fund-raiser for your school, church, or club. Not only do we have bags of solid colored loops (in 34 beautiful colors) available in the Traditional size, (for the 7" x 7" loom) they are also available in our large, PRO size (10" x 10" loom). Each small bag makes 2 potholders. And don’t forget our bags of Lotta Loops. Each bag makes 8 potholders and they are available in Bright, Pastel, and Designer Color Lines and in both sizes - Traditional and PRO!

Many of the Designs in this booklet were created using our New and Improved Potholder Wizard 2.0! To try it out go to: harrisville.com/wizard and put your creativity to work. ď Ł Daffodil ď Ł Hydrangea PLEASE NOTE: This is a challenging pattern and is not recommended for beginners. To begin the design, warp your loom with your first color (daffodil). Always start weaving on the same side for this pattern. To create the pattern, start by weaving the second color (hydrangea) under two and over two until the end. With your second loop, you will start by weaving under one warped loop and then continue weaving over two, under two until the end. With your third loop, you will weave over two, under two until the end and with the fourth loop you will weave over one then under two and over two until the end. Repeat these four steps once, and then to make the chevron design, reverse the steps on the 9th loop, starting with over two, under two. Reverse the pattern again at the 17th loop to finish out the design. Using your crochet hook, loop the ends, one over another, all the way around as shown in our instruction booklet. Use the last loop to hang up your potholder.
