Im letzten Jahr wuchs die Flachau1. com-Family um ein kleines Häuschen, das sich neben dem Funsport-, Bike& Skihotel Tauernhof und dem Steakhaus Schusterhäusl anschließt.

Das Haus sollte vorerst in seinem Ursprung bestehen bleiben, eine Idee war sehr schnell geboren: Um die Lücke zwischen den facettenreichen Flachau1. com-Betrieben Funsport-, Bike- & Skihotel Tauernhof, Harmls Aparthotel*** und Crystls Aparthotel**** zu schließen, wurde eine Low-Budget Un-

Last year, the Flachau1.com Family added a little house which joins the Funsport, Bike- & Skihotel Tauernhof and the Steakhaus Schusterhäusl.

The initial idea was to keep the house in its original state and a concept was quickly developed: To close the gap between the diverse Flachau1.com establishments Funsport-, Bike- & Skihotel Tauernhof, Harmls Aparthotel*** and Crystls Aparthotel****, a low-budget accommodation for sporty winter & summer holiday guests was installed.

So sind in den vergangenen Monaten schon viele Freundschaften entstanden“, freut sich Flaxi.

Die theoretische Ausbildung all unserer Lehrlinge findet jeweils im Blockunterricht in der Nähe der Stadt Salzburg statt. Jeder einzelne unserer Lehrlinge absolvierte diesen theoretischen Bereich der Ausbildung (10 Wochen pro Jahr) bis dato mit gutem oder ausgezeichnetem Erfolg, worauf wir als Ausbildner natürlich sehr stolz sind.

Die Ausbildungszeit beträgt je nach Berufsziel zwischen drei und vier Jahre. Sofern unsere Lehrlinge nicht aus der unmittelbaren Umgebung kommen, wohnen und essen sie oftmals direkt bei uns im Hotel und erleben so auch das Gast-Sein hautnah.

Am 7. Juli 2018 wurde der Stoneman Taurista feierlich in Flachau eröffnet.

Seither machen die Vollblut-Biker Jagd auf den begehrten Stoneman Taurista-Stein in Gold, Silber oder Bronze.

The Golden Stone beckons The Stoneman Taurista Tour was officially opened in Flachau on 7 July 2018. Since then, bike enthusiasts have been chasing the coveted Stoneman Taurista Stone in gold, silver or bronze.

123 Kilometer und rund 4.500 Hm umfasst die einzigartige Strecke in den Pongauer Bergen. Eine satte Portion Highlight-Charakter und viele Wow-Effekte sind in der Route integriert. Neben den Stoneman-Routen in Südtirol (drei Zinnen/Dolomiti), in den Schweizer Bergen (Glarciara) und dem deutschen Erzgebirge (Miriquidi) ist nun der Taurista die vierte Tour im Bunde vom „Erfinder“ Roland Stauder.

Als Ausgangspunkt bietet sich für Biker, die Wert auf ausgeklügelte Bike-Servicleistungen legen, das Bikehotel Tauernhof an. Mountainbiker, die ein Appartement bevorzugen, kommen in Harmls Aparthotel auf ihre Kosten – der Sportgeist der Flachau1-Betriebe wird auch hier gelebt.

Wer nicht sicher ist, den Stoneman Taurista zu schaffen, der fährt mit dem E-Bike aus dem hoteleigenen E-Bikeverleih und genießt die Bergwelt in vollen Zügen. Dafür wartet ein naturfärbiger Stein als Trophäe.

Freeski and snowboard pros from across Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand meet for the Spring Battle at the end of March to celebrate the closing of the season with an innovative contest and to start one more time in the challenging setup of the ABSOLUT PARK before the summer break.

The contest will be held as a Follow Cam Jam Session, which means that anyone who submits an uncut video of their best run in time will be judged on the evening of the last event day.

Viele Geräte und jeder von uns produziert Wärme, welche mit der verbrauchten Luft durch die Lüftungen im ganzen Hotel abgesaugt wird.

Wir im Tauernhof nutzen diese Wärme mit bis zu 83 % für das Anwärmen der frischen Zuluft in eben diesem Lüftungssystem. Solche Frischluft-Lüftungssysteme benötigen nur mehr sehr wenig Strom und gelten so als besonders umweltfreundlich. Wir schauen auf unsere Umwelt.

Nothing is wasted Many appliances and we ourselves generate heat which is absorbed together with the used air by the ventilation throughout the hotel. We at Tauernhof use up to 83% of this heat to warm up the fresh supply air in the ventilation system. Such fresh air ventilation systems not only use less energy, they are also considered especially environment-friendly.

Karin als Sportcampleiterin im Tauernhof ist sportbegeistert und besonders trendy, wenn es um neue Ideen im Tauernhof Sportcamp geht.

Karin, as sports camp manageress, is passionate about sports and especially trendy when it comes new ideas at the Tauernhof Sports Camp.

„Von meiner Schwester wurde ich mit der neuen Sportart „Jumping Fitness“ konfrontiert“, erzählt Karin und besuchte die Ausbildung zum Jumping Fitness Instruktor in Villach (Kärnten, Österreich).

“Confronted by my sister with the new trend sport “Jumping Fitness“, Karin says and attended the training in Villach (Carinthia, Austria) to become a Jumping Fitness instructor .

Zusammen mit anderen Sportlern wurde gehüpft und gesprungen. „Es war anstrengend. Wir sind acht Stunden am Stück gehüpft und haben unzählige Sprungtechniken erlernt“, erinnert sich Karin. Ebenso wurde sie in der Kombination von Musik und Jumping-Techniken geschult.

400 Muskeln werden beim Jumping Fitness trainiert, gleichzeitig 1200 Kilokalorien in einer Trainingseinheit verbrannt – insgesamt dreimal so effektiv wie Joggen. Überzeugt euch selbst davon. Es ist nun Teil des Tauernhof Fitness Programms im Sommer.

And so, Karin and other sportsmen and women went on jumping and skipping. “It was very exhausting. We jumped eight hours a day and learned countless jumping and skipping techniques“, recounts Karin. She was also taught in the combination of music and jumping techniques.

With Jumping Fitness, 400 muscles are trained, burning 1,200 kilo calories in one training session at the same time – this is three times more effective than jogging. Try it yourself: it is now part of the Tauernhof fitness program in summer.

Unser Küchenmeister verrät euch, wie man das perfekte Filetsteak zubereitet.

ZUTATEN: Rinderfilet, Rosmarin, Sonnenblumenöl, Steakgewürz, Salz und Pfeffer

abhängig von der Größe des Stücks und wie sehr durchgebraten man das Fleisch haben möchte. Für Zubereitung „Medium“ etwa sollte ein 180 g Stück für ca. 8 Min. in den Ofen, ein 250 g Stück etwa 12 Min. Vor dem Servieren sollte das Steak kurz rasten, damit sich der Saft wie-

The preparation of a steak starts already with the choice of meat. Best is regional meat like roast beef (Beiried in Austrian) or tenderloin purchased from your butcher.

Start with preparing the meat and remove any tendons. Cut the meat into portions and leave to rest for a while.

For frying, the meat should have room temperature, never put meat directly from the fridge on the grill.

Die Steakzubereitung beginnt bereits bei der Wahl des Fleisches. Am besten kauft man regionales Fleisch, wie Roastbeef (österr. Beiried) oder Lungenbraten beim Metzger des Vertrauens.

Sear the seasoned steak from all sides in a frying pan for a short time. Add the herbs. Put the filet in a preheated oven (180°C fan oven).

The time depends on the size of the meat and how through you would like it. For a medium fried steak, leave a 180 g steak in the oven for approx. 8 min., a 250 g steak for around 12 min.

Before serving, leave the steak to rest for a short time, thus the juices can collect in the middle and don’t leak out. Add side dishes and sauces of your choice and serve the steak.

Zu Beginn wird das Fleisch pariert, dazu werden Sehnen und Flachsen entfernt. Anschließend wird es portioniert. Das Fleisch jetzt etwas rasten lassen – zum Braten sollte es Raumtemperatur haben. Niemals das Fleisch vom Kühlschrank direkt auf den Grill bzw. in die Pfanne geben.

Gespielt wird auf der Bubble-Soccer Rasen-Fläche neben Harmls Aparthotel. Jeder Spieler schlüpft in einen der großen, roten oder blauen „Bubbles“.

Zwei Teams stehen sich gegenüber und matchen nach eigenen Regeln. Klingt einfach? Ist es aber nicht. Denn durch die großen Bubbles sind die Spieler in ihrer Bewegung eingeschränkt, und ein Zusammenstoß wird zu einem Aufprall, der die Kugel schnell in die entgegengesetzte Richtung katapultiert.

Auch ein Sturz lohnt sich in den Bubbles nicht unbedingt, schließlich sind diese rund und können den Spieler in alle möglichen Richtungen drehen. Eine gute Orientierung bringt hier einen klaren Vorteil!

The match is played on the bubble soccer lawn next to Harmls Aparthotel. Every player enters a huge red or blue bubble. Two teams play against each other according to their own rules. Sounds simple? It is not. Because the huge bubbles restrict the players‘ movement and a jostle turns into a bounce, catapulting the sphere quickly in the opposite direction. Even a fall when inside the bubbles turns into a difficult undertaking. After all, they are round and can roll the player in any direction. A good sense of orientation is definitely of advantage!

Beim Mountainskyven könnt ihr euer Wandererlebnis ausklingen lassen. Die speziellen Bikes aus Alu sind ganz einfach zu tragen. Nach dem Wandern geht’s mit einem wilden Ritt den Berg hinunter.

Oder ihr entscheidet euch für eine Runde „Zorbing“ und rollt im Inneren einer großen Kunststoffkugel den Berg hinunter. Vorsicht: Downhill Zorbing ist einfach zum Durchdrehen lustig, aber sicher nichts für einen empfindlichen Magen.

Auf den Spuren von Robin Hood könnt ihr euch beim Bogenschießen beweisen und für Kids bis sechs Jahre gibt’s Kinder-Quads zum Rumkurven.

Am Wasser habt ihr die Chance beim Stand Up Paddeling über den See zu gleiten. Aber Achtung, diese Sportart sieht etwas einfacher aus, als sie tatsächlich ist.
