Burgundy is an elegant, timeless, and sophisticated color and is an indicator of wealth and power, light gray is a counterweight to Burgundy color, teak wood is a typical Indonesian exotic wood, and Pearl White which can make a room look bright is chosen. In addition to color, shape selection, material texture, and lighting are considered in detail to create an interior with an Art Deco but a modern concept.

Transit Oriented Development Area

Location:

Bandung, Indonesia

Year:

2021

The design of green space on the connectivity route in the TOD (Transit Oriented Development) area at Bandung Station prioritizes pedestrians, bicycle users, and public transportation users as users. The design in the TOD area applies several principles and rules that apply at the design location such as the application of plant species groupings that BAPPENAS has regulated, the application of transit-oriented area development rules regulated by the ATR BPN ministerial regulation, the application of design benchmarks for a road in the TOD area according to Eco-Rapid Transit Oriented Development, application of standard principles of TOD area development according to ITDP, application of a conceptual framework to improve walking behavior, application of key aspects of walkability, and application of the theory "The Image of the City".

The macro design area for the TOD area is located at a radius of 600m from the existing Bandung Station exit where Bandung Station itself serves as a transit node. At the same time, the micro-design area is located on the east side of Bandung Station. This side is a connecting line and the closest way between Bandung Station and Monorail Station. This design area will be traversed by various modes of transportation such as monorail, cable car, TMB (Trans Metro Bandung), trains, bicycles, tour buses, public transportation, Damri, school buses, skywalks, and of course the pedestrian path.
