About Reaching Your Customers

About Reaching Your Customers Every business owner knows that they need to pull out all the stops to ensure that their business interests are well promoted, their services, goods, and products advertised properly – and also via the best platform to ensure they reach their target market for possible engagement. This can be done in various ways. Of course we all know the printed media and the advertising we encounter there; however, since the introduction of the internet and its many positives, advertising has changed a lot. Many more service providers, professionals, retailers, and wholesalers – and everyone that wants to get their message “out there” – now uses the internet. Businesses either advertise their goods via their own website or they use a platform for advertisers, many of which are designed to specifically help advertisers reach their market, and very often, too, because this platform and their advertisers have a mutually beneficial agreement financially. The platform gets its own exposure and further their own brand, and the advertiser is given a great choice to reach their customers. Therefore it is a great incentive for businesses to advertise via a well-known e-commerce giant such as, say, Amazon – and others – to reach their buyers as everybody knows that shopping via Amazon makes it possible for them to study and compare thousands of products in the same place, one website, then make a decision and place an order. Also, this platform enables the advertisers to reach their buyers by advertising everything on a platform that everybody knows and respects – leading to business for them. This way the retailer is ensured of reaching their target market via a well-respected source, and whether they allow Amazon – or another retailer or manufacturer – to ship, to handle returns and customer service or whether they do that themselves, they are given the opportunity to reach their market even if they are a not a big name or brand themselves. This way anything becomes possible, whether you are the designer, manufacturer, or marketer – or all three – of the products your business sells, or whether you are only the platform that customers visit to get to the retailer whose products they want to buy. This way everybody benefits from a win-win situation: the platform that advertises the goods of much different business benefit, the retailer that uses the platform benefits, and the customer benefit too because of all the different products in one place, and an online shopping experience that saves them time and effort and very often money because of some fantastic deals that are offered, as well as the competition among retailers. There are also those advertisers that act as a go-between between a big e-commerce platform and the buyer: they act for and on behalf of this big retailer by offering products on their own website, even if they do not produce or sell these products directly. Very often they rely on a drop shipping arrangement, which means that they use a supply chain management method whereby they do not keep the stock of what they advertise; they merely act as a go-between to ensure their customers’ orders and shipment details are referred
