Design Process

My design process for creating pattern repeat designs starts with hand-drawing flower using vector tools in Adobe Illustrator. Then, I use colors inspired by mood boards to fill in the drawings and create a cohesive visual identity.

Once I have the individual floral elements, I use them to create different pattern design swatches. This involves manipulating and arranging the flowers and leaves to create various motifs and repeating patterns. To ensure that my design meets the needs and preferences of my customers I use Photoshop to mock up the patterns on a range of products. This allows me to see how the designs will look in real-life applications, such as clothing, home decor, or packaging.

Throughout this process, I prioritize attention to detail and composition and strive to create patterns that are both beautiful and functional.

Pattern Design on Products Mock-ups

Purpose: Designing a pattern and visualize the pattern on different products. To help to visualize how the designed pattern will look on a product, such as clothing, home decor, or accessories. It is useful for designers to determine whether the pattern works well with the product’s shape, size, and overall design. By undertaking this project, I was equipped to provide valuable skills for of creating patterns with different product shapes, sizes, and overall designs.

Logo Design

Purpose:

Through carefully crafted logos, I effectively communicate the essence of my brand by differentiating it from competitors, and leave a lasting impression on the target audience.
