Thank you to local representative, PA State Representative Kate Klunk who addressed our members.

It is important at this time of year to reflect on what we have accomplished in the year – 2021 was a year of change, but also incredibly productive for the Chamber. We welcomed two new staff members, Caitlin Johnson in the Marketing role and Sarah Messer in the Membership and Events position. The Chamber office has moved! Our offices are now located at 40 York Street, Second Floor. Additionally, events returned this past fall, and we hosted the first Snack Town Street Fair in September and the fourth annual Brewfest was held in October, among others. And we continued to support and further develop programs including the Hanover Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship Program and Leadership Hanover. As 2022 approaches, we look forward to offering new programs and continued support to Chamber members. Thank you for you continued confidence in the work of your Chamber

BARLEY SNYDER ATTORNEY GRIFFITH NAMED TO CASA BOARD

The Cumberland Valley Business Alliance has selected Bradley H. Kearns, CPA, Member of the Firm with SEK, CPAs & Advisors, as their 2021 Business Person of the Year.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Berks County has named Barley Snyder attorney Zachary D. Griffith to its board of directors.

This award honors a local business professional in the Cumberland Valley area who has made significant contributions to the community and profession through their accomplishments, business, and volunteerism. Brad was chosen by a group of business and civic leaders through the Alliance and accepted the award at the Annual Business Breakfast on December 7, 2021. The goal is to restore their well-being and ensure the eminent right to a safe, nurturing, and permanent home. “The work CASA has done across Berks County has surely changed the lives of children in a positive way,” Griffith said. “CASA’s mission to speak for the children that have no one to speak for them is something I strongly believe in.
