From The White House: Small Business Resource Guide

The White House hosted a Small Business Briefing to highlight how the Biden-Harris Administration is collaborating with federal agencies, as well as state and local partners, to expand opportunities for small business owners throughout Pennsylvania.
A toolkit was released that highlights what federal resources are available to small businesses. This includes:
Access to capital, including loans and equity investments to grow their business.
Access to customers, by helping connect businesses to contracting opportunities with the federal government.
Access to technical assistance, by connecting businesses with local service providers that can help them secure financing, compete for contracts, and navigate all phases of the business lifecycle.
Access to tax resources, by ensuring small businesses are aware of federal tax credits, including new taxcredits, deductions, and incentives available through the Inflation Reduction Act.
To view and download the toolkit, visit our blog at https:// www.hanoverchamber.com/blog
Main Street Hanover's New Discover Downtown Passport

Main Street Hanover has released a fun new way for the community and visitors to shop small businesses. The Discover Downtown Passport will encourage patrons explore and purchase from our variety of downtown businesses.
Here's how it works: Patrons will visit and make a purchase at one of the eligible downtown businesses. An employee will then sign and date that individual's passport. After the individual collects signatures from six different businesses, they are eligible for a free keychain as a thank you for supporting our local community. The passport can be dropped off inperson to Main Street Hanover, or a photo of the passport can be sent via social media (@MainStreetHanover) or e-mailed to MainStreetHanover@gmail.com.
Need passports to give to patrons? Contact Executive Director, Moriah, at mtyler@mainstreethanover.org

BROWN PLUS RECEIVES
INAUGURAL 2025 AMERICA’S BEST WORKPLACES AWARD
Leading regional accounting and advisory firm, Brown Plus, is thrilled to have been named a recipient of the inaugural 2025 America’s Best Workplaces Award in the medium company category by Best Companies Group and BridgeTower Media.
America’s Best Workplaces Awards identify and honor the best places of employment across the United States. Winners of the America’s Best Workplaces Award were previously recognized by Best Companies Group in at least one other data-driven employer recognition program. The award is a celebration of excellence in company culture that honors numerous employers and ranks the top 10 workplaces in small, medium and large business categories. The final rankings of the top 10 best workplaces will be announced at a virtual celebration on December 18, 2024.
“It is a great honor for Brown Plus to be recognized not just among the top accounting firms to work for, but among the top overall workplaces to work for in the country,” said Ken Wolfe, President and Managing Principal at Brown Plus. “We are dedicated to providing extraordinary service to our clients and communities, and that starts with providing an extraordinary experience to our professionals who serve them. I’m incredibly proud of our team members who have shaped our many policies and initiatives that have helped to establish Brown Plus as a nationally recognized place to work.”
Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and analyzed the data to determine the final rankings. The rankings were determined based upon Best Companies Group’s algorithm, which factored in data from each nominated company's workplace policies, practices and demographics, as well as data from an employee survey that measured employee experience. The overall scores determined which workplaces were recognized and which were ranked in the top of their category.
“These workplaces are America’s best – not because we say so, but because their people do,” said Jaime Raul Zepeda, Executive Vice President of Best Companies Group and COLOR Magazine. “At Best Companies Group, we’re excited to certify this honor and celebrate these standout employers with millions of business leaders who trust BridgeTower Media for the pulse on exceptional companies across the country.”
Brown Plus’ mission is to help people achieve extraordinary outcomes, including its team members. To that end, Brown Plus is proud to provide numerous policies, programs and other perks to help its team members maintain a strong life balance, including:
Remote work arrangements
Flex time
Summer hours
CPA exam reimbursement
Development bonuses
Dress for your day policy
Emerging young professionals group
