While in this role I worked within three different companies, Sprocket Design and Planning, Portmanteau Partners, and Founding Architecture. This position required me to work within both the design and the development realm of the housing industry. My duties were split between the two. I worked on architectural plans, schedules, renderings, and other assorted tasks; I also created marketing materials, quantitative summaries, their updated project portfolio, and other documents used in a municipal capacity. My most crucial task completed for the team was the coordination, event planning, and creation of all related materials, for the groundbreaking ceremony, project partner, and employee events for their new workforce housing project.

OF LOUISVILLE DORMS SPRING 2020
This internship took place for the duration of the 2020 spring semester with JRA Architects, located in Louisville, KY. I was able to assist on a multitude of projects, including civic & municipal, education, and religious. Moreover, I had the opportunity to work with many different designers throughout the firm with their workload. A majority of my time with JRA spent aiding the team on the new dorms for the University of Louisville. I was tasked with editing plans and elevations, minor design work, and aiding the head of interior design on miscellaneous tasks throughout her project load. The internship was cut slightly short due to the onset of Covid-19 in March of that year.

This 2019 summer internship, located in Chicago, was with Related Midwest’s design department, mostly focused on assisting one of the VP’s of design and the head of interior design on the One Bennett Park project. During my time at this position, my duties would vary between meetings with different department teams, working on-site, aiding in condo staging, and other various punch list items. I was also charged with verifying and editing architectural plans, unit specifications, and schedules of each individual condo unit in addition to mapping the M.E.P. and architectural plans for the raw penthouse spaces to use as marketing materials.

MOVING ON TOGETHER - UNITED & SUSTAINABLE FALL 2019
This project proposal is a custom apparel microfactory, coupled with a thrift store/upcycle studio and a low energy fitness studio, utilized to address a multitude of social and environmental issues. The primary controversy being combated is the impact of the fast fashion industry, not only on an environmental, but a human rights level as well. The main programming of the building, the apparel micro-manufacturer, allows clothing to be created on- demand, using non-toxic ink and recycled, biodegradable cloth. It also fosters a healthy, safe work environment within one’s community, instead of outsourcing manufacturing to places with poor labor practices. The secondary goal for this proposal was to create a space to unite the neighboring community; through use of the thrift store/upcycle studio which removes economic barriers for consumer interactions and through the low energy fitness studio, as it is accessible to users of all ages and abilities.

THE CENTER FOR EMERGING GREEN TECHNOLOGY SPRING 2019
This project was for my university’s 3rd year Steel Design Competition. The assignment was to research steel construction methods and sustainable building practices, and to implement those techniques into our design. The program is an educational center, used for job training and innovating strategies within the emerging green technology industry. Although the paramount focus is on the utilization of sustainable design and building methods, the true cornerstone of this project was to create community connection with the center and to ensure that the surrounding residents would be positively affected by its addition to their neighborhood. Another subsequent goal was to essentially manufacture a showcase for a variety of sustainable design methods and how it positively affects the built environment.
