What is Airsoft Sport?

Airsoft sport sounds like a sport but it is different from other sports. You won’t see many sports involving guns. In this sport, players are equipped with the airsoft guns which they use to shoot their opponents in order to eliminate them. To win the game, you need to eliminate your opponents. Different types of guns are used in different games. Most of the games are based on military simulations. There are often a couple of teams with equal number of players. Each player has to be equipped with a rifle or a pistol unless there is a rule that prevents equipping an individual with a weapon on the field.

The airsoft sport is played on a field called airsoft field. The field is usually a massive one where players can run around and hide from their opponents. There is not a single game, rather, there are plenty. Each game has different rules. I have explained those games and rules below.

How to Play Airsoft?

Playing airsoft is not a problem at all. All you need to do is buy airsoft guns and head to a place far from the population. A field can be any area where there is no outside interference.

However, if you want to become a professional airsofter, you should join an airsoft community.

There are airsoft communities in the US that allow you to become their members and become an airsofter. However, in any case you need to buy your own gun. Joining these communities help you in learning about the games and their regulations. Also, it helps you develop your airsoft skills and abilities. Games You Can Play With Airsoft Guns

If you count the airsoft games, I’m sorry, this would be difficult. There are plenty of airsoft games with different regulations. However, let me explain some of the most thrilling and popular games. Once you learn about these games, you will get an idea what types of games these are:

- President President is a very popular game in which there are two teams with equal number of players.

However, there is one special character, the President. One of the teams would be the defenders and the other, assailants. The defenders would have to secure the President and take him to a safe point. If they manage to take the President to that safe spot even if they are all killed, they win. On the other hand, the assailants try their best to kill the President. If the President is killed before he reaches that safe point, assailants win the game.

- Zombie Zombie is an interesting game in which there are two teams, humans and the zombies. The humans are more in numbers compared to zombies. If the zombies touch a human, that human becomes a zombie as well, ultimately decreasing the number of humans and increasing the number of zombies. However, if the humans kill all the zombies, the humans win. If all humans become zombies, they win the game. Generally, people keep the number of zombies as a way higher than the number of humans to make the game more challenging.

- Capture the Flag Capture the Flag is a thrilling game based on a military simulation. The two teams with equal number of players have their respective flags on their respective forts. A fort can be any place.

Each team will try to get the flag of the other team to their fort to pick up the win. However, every team has half the number of players protecting the flag and half going to capture the flag of the other side. The team that manages to get the flag before the other team wins the game.

- Close Quarters Combat Close Quarters Combat is the simplest of the games. In this game, there are two teams with equal number of players who battle inside a quarter. Both teams are equipped with airsoft pistols. They would try to shoot each other to eliminate and win the game. The team that eliminates the other team before picks up the win.

- Rescue the Hostage Rescue the Hostage is another entertaining game. The game also involves two teams with equal number of players. However, one team has to rescue the hostages against the other team that has kept them. In this game, the rescuers need to have both airsoft rifles and pistols. They would use the rifle to defend themselves and hand the pistols over to the hostages so that they can defend themselves as well. If they rescue them and get them to the safe spot, the win.

However, if they fail to do so, the other team wins.

- Sniper Sniper is one of the most frequently played games on the field. In this game, there is one or a couple of snipers who are equipped with airsoft sniper rifles. However, others are equipped with simple airsoft guns. Snipers get to the field first to hide at certain places. Snipers need to eliminate other team completely to win the game.

Safety Rules for Airsoft Acknowledge the safety rules before you get started with airsoft: • Always wear face and eye protection • Be sensible on the field, don’t do blind firing • Keep your head pointing in a safe direction when not shooting • Dress up in a proper manner • Cover your whole body • Keep your field a place where there is no outside interference • Keep your airsoft guns away from the reach of kids • Don’t let your kids play with these guns • Stay equipped with additional BBs on the field • Don’t shoot a player who surrenders • Don’t shoot a person excessive times when he has run out of ammos • Keep your guns at a safe place for better maintenance • Wear safety masks on the field during Close Quarters Combat game • Never ignore the safety rules!
