LUNAN BAY LOVE, LOSS & CATTERLINE my work is visually led, it encompasses painting, photography, collage and text. regardless of what media I am drawn to my work seems to express sensations and memories. there is nowhere I love to be more than lunan bay and catterline, two places that excite me, challenge me and continue to inspire me.

living by the sea has unconsciously filtered into my work i don’t try to represent what the sea looks like but more how it feels.

MONKS HOUSE SERIES II THE LOVE POEMS NOTES FROM MY GARDEN I visited giverny, monet’s garden. I had read so much about it that I had a sinking suspicion , that like lots of things would not live up to my expectations, but it did and more. I was happy.. when I visited virginia woolf’s home and garden. I was in a different place and suddenly I had the urge to make a series of paintings again. I was deeply sad at this time. .I drew a rose and the first monks house series was born. the second series drew upon a range of emotions, rapture, despair, hope, endings and beginning's I visited sissinghurst and the home and garden of vita sackville-west, the gardens were poles apart from giverny and monks house, but each were magnificent. what these works have in common is my love of garden and flowers, femininity, female emotion and passion.

i remember taking out my sketch book and Scribbling notes down, random stuff what gardens bring to me, that kind of thing.
