Scholarships

Doctor of Pharmacy students receive over $500,000 in scholarships annually, of which the College of Pharmacy directly awarded $400,000. Many scholarships are made available through the generosity of alumni and donors

Pre-Pharmacy Requirements

The pre-pharmacy curriculum must be completed by the end of spring semester of the admission year, with the exception of biochemistry which may be completed in the early summer session prior to admission

The first year provides a firm foundation in the basic sciences

Doctor of Pharmacy Second and Third Years

The second and third years provide a series of modular courses in which the pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutics and pharmacotherapy of specific organ systems are integrated into one disease-state management focused course

The final 12 months are devoted to full-time Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences serving a wide variety of patient populations in various practice settings at rotation sites located in Pocatello, Boise, Coeur d’Alene and Twin Falls, Idaho; Reno, Nevada; and Anchorage, Alaska

Submit materials on PharmCAS

Completed PharmCAS application for Idaho State University College of Pharmacy (PharmCAS application fee applies)

Official transcripts of all previous college course work – including international detailed course-by-course official evaluation by WES (preferred) or ECE

Two letters of recommendation – one from a pharmacist preferred Personal statement/application essay

Interviews scheduled within 30 days of receipt of verified application, and are conducted frequently during fall and spring

Decision letters sent within 7 days of interview

Return signed acceptance contract within 30 days (non-refundable seat hold fee $200, credited to tuition)

Completion of requirements does not guarantee admission Criminal background check and drug testing are required for all admitted students
