Personal Statment

I majored in the College of Design and Applied Arts, specifically in the Department of Interior Design. From this point, the journey of a thousand steps began for me, as the challenges that faced me in all the courses that I took, were the links for the next step that I entered with more enthusiasm with every challenge that I did.

In 2020, I decided to delve deeper into this field because, in my view, design is the art of treating empty spaces and spaces and operating all design elements in these places. I joined EMU (eastern Mediterranean University), to obtain a master's degree in interior architecture. Through the study in this field, I noticed that colors are one of the most important aspects that affect a positive or negative impression.

After 6 semesters, I started with my first graduation project, which was a glasses store, and the second project was a section for cancer patients. After these projects, I was able to check out many of the problems that

I faced, such as the correct division of internal spaces, the distribution of furniture and the provision of appropriate dimensions for all age groups, in addition to maintaining the safety of the user through the materials that used. That was during the 4 years 2014-2018.

My language skills (I speak native Arabic and advanced English ), I took two English courses(E513-E515) which equal level c1, that enable me to interact with people from very different cultures, which will help me to be very good at communication. I enjoy meeting new people and look forward to completing my study.

I have some supplements courses that support me to transform my vision into reality, and work on it to be understandable for others, which let me enhanced the interactive with the customers when I started to work as a freelance.

Beyond the scope of my academic studies, my thesis was talking about the impact of color in the learning environment for children, and in particular about some important perspectives in children's life, including the psychological and physical factor. In addition to some design aspects such as biomimicry and sustainability. With an increase in the degree of preference for these design paths, I have been starting to write two research papers, which are still under modification until they will publish. And yet I'm still looking forward to learning more about this fascinating field at the degree level.
