Every year the PGA of America puts on an event called the PGA Show in Orlando, Florida. The show is so overwhelmingly big that it is hard to describe. It fills up the Orange County Convention Center. It is aisles and aisles of the latest equipment from all the major manufacturers in golf.

Over 900 vendors exhibited this year with a very diverse group of products and services. There are booths with small items such as tees and ball markers all the way up to huge booths showing off the clubs and balls you would recognize just by seeing the packaging.

The apparel booths are also very impressive and most are set up with the upcoming year’s offerings. Shoes, caps, tops, bottoms, and everything in between are on display.

Guest speakers and golf celebrities are on hand to discuss the current trends in the industry and the state of golf. Many good ideas are shared at the show.

Personally, it is fun for me each year to check out the college aisle of the show which house the Professional Golf Management programs. It brings me back to the good old days of dreaming of being able to work at one of the greatest clubs in the country.

I love it when dreams come true…
