LIGHTS, CAMERA, AND LOTS OF ACTION!

Jonathan and Heather Arthur, son and daughter-in-law of Hampton Hall resident Rita Griffith (thank you Rita!), explained behind the scenes planning required for common stunt work, including falls, car crashes, explosions, water work, and fights.

The Arthur’s son, Chase, demonstrated how wire is used to make someone “fly back" after receiving a kick to the side. Rita’s other son, Christopher Arthur, also a stunt man, set his arm on fire and displayed how to safely extinguish.

It was a fun and informative evening. Everyone appreciated why stunts should not be attempted at home! If you’d like to see more from this evening, visit our Instagram page: @hamptonhallsc

Jonathan was recently the Stunt Coordinator and stunt double for Zac Efron in The Greatest Beer Run Ever, a true story about Vietnam, currently trending on Apple+ TV. He has been in Where the Crawdads Sing, Avatar, Fast and Furious, and more. He is also a SAG Awards nominee.

Heather Arthur is best known for her work in Pirates of the Caribbean, Iron Man 2, Captain America, and was recently the Stunt Coordinator for the Disney+ series Secrets of Sulphur Springs.
