REACH & INFLUENCE
For 19 years Professional Housebuilder and Property Developer (PHPD) has been a trusted source of information for housebuilders and developers focussing on the construction of new residential properties. PHPD reports on key developments in the industry, the latest standards and new regulations, whilst providing in-depth information on the latest building materials and solutions. It also assists readers in design, finance, planning, sales and marketing of new homes.
PHPD’s core focus is SME housebuilders, property developers and residential architects. While national builders construct many of the new homes across the UK, SME housebuilders & developers, their architects and design
teams, play a vital role in the creation of new homes including:
- bringing forward small to medium size developments
- delivering fast build-out rates
- building on brownfield and regeneration sites
- creating homes within existing communities
- reacting quickly to market requirements
- constructing bespoke architecturally inspired homes
Every issue of PHPD is also available to read page by page online at www.phpdonline.co.uk and emailed out in a digital format to around 8,400 housebuilding personnel and architects with an average open rate of 47%.

A GROWING INDUSTRY
“Build baby build” is the tagline for the housebuilding industry in 2026. If 2024 was the year of new pledges and promises, 2025 was the one where these started to materialise.
The Government’s Planning and Infrastructure Bill is a prime example of this and is powering through Parliament, ready to tackle local councils, a longstanding hurdle for SME and Regional Housebuilders. With almost 900 major housing schemes blocked in the last year, this legislative change is set to change the game for our nation’s builders alongside the Future Homes Standard 2025, which is set to usher in a new era of sustainable building.
It is in this climate of legislative change and renewed government support that housebuilding is experiencing a resurgence. While final figures for the whole year are still to be released, ONS data has shown a 17.4% increase in new build starts in Q1 2025, compared to the same period in 2024. With this backdrop, and at a time where housebuilders are expected to deliver high quality, sustainable homes at speed, now is the time for those in the industry to look for new ways to build — and a perfect opportunity for you to promote your products and services to those who will be looking to stand out from the crowd.
