About Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group
The Hall & Prior story began in 1992, founded by Michael Hall and Graeme Prior, and has been shaped by a passion for providing quality care to older people from all walks of life.
Since then, our organisation has continued to expand in response to the diverse and growing needs of the ageing Australian population. We are now one of the largest aged care providers in Western Australia and New South Wales, with 2,400 staff, 32 homes and more in the pipeline.
We are an approved aged care provider and registered for NDIS with each of our homes providing safety and comfort, offering choices in accommodation (including companion rooms for couples) and health services that we know are important to our residents.
Our philosophy is that our residents are entitled to the highest standards of professional choice, world-class care, privacy and dignity, no matter what their background. Our aged care properties embody these qualities, providing a comfortable home for all of our residents, whatever the level of care they require.
Food and nutrition are a major focus, with a team of aged care specialist chefs and dietitians, ensuring residents are provided with meals that are not only full of flavour, but meet the dietary needs of residents as they age.
Our homes are suitable for residents with high care needs and we also offer palliative care, respite care, dementia support, interim care, in-home community care and extra services.
We regard each of our residents as an individual, deserving of respect and the opportunity to participate in decision-making on issues that affect them. Above all, we make it our business that our homes are their home.
Leading with integrity
Our vision is to be a leader in the provision of aged care services in Australia. This is a consistent and unwavering mission that has carried the Hall & Prior Group through 30 years of successful and sustained operations.
Maintaining this vision requires a sustained effort and commitment to grow, to improve and evolve our services for the benefit of our residents, clients and the wider community.
Homes designed for life
Our homes are designed to make the most of every moment. Meaningful activity is a large focus of life in all our homes, and lifestyle staff run a varied program of activities designed to engage, entertain and enrich the lives of residents.
There are also frequent community visitors and entertainers who visit our homes, creating memories for those who call our homes their own.
How we care for each and every one
Hall & Prior’s goal is to ensure respectful, inclusive and culturally safe aged care services that are accessible to all consumers and their nominated representatives, regardless of their background or life experiences. All staff have a role to play in meeting this goal. Whether barriers to appropriate aged care are perceived or real, they must be addressed to meet the diverse needs of the community. Hall & Prior is committed to an inclusive service that is sensitive to the individual needs and preferences of all our residents.
The future of aged care is in our hands
We are committed to developing new infrastructure and expanding our services, moving towards becoming an ‘aged care solutions provider’, rather than a ‘nursing home operator’.
We are dedicated to becoming an Australian aged care provider and employer of choice, and are constantly working to improve the care outcomes for our residents. We are bringing new aged care homes online each year - and redefining the way your loved ones are cared for.
