Tarrington Consulting is a financial services consultancy, recently founded in the UK by two Kiwi ex-pats. They wanted a logo which would look classical – giving them an air of permanence & solidity – married with a brand that was very modern & minimalist, demonstrating that they are up to date & current. Further, I was briefed to restrict the logo to ‘Hurricanes’ colours, as the partners were from Taranaki & Wellington (thus Tar/ington).

The client required a name and brand that covered all of their current products and would also allow them to add further services later if needed. ‘Soothe’ gave that lee-way, while also being evocative of being nurtured, of being healed.
