The paloma wetland sy stem is a de sign proposal for the Bisbee Eff luent Projec t , aimed to recharge the f loodplain aqui fer. The sy stem is de signed to introduce waste water into a serie s of ponds to spread ou t along the site to create shallow marshland, reproduc tive gras sland, and saturate soils for the riparian fore st . This de sign solu tion is a water framework that considers gallons needed per acre per eco sy stem, and would have to be carried ou t by organizations who par tic ipate in ecological re storation. Some of the mo st inf luential organizations are Sky Island alliance , Tuc son Audubon Soc iet y, Friends of the San Pedro, Cuenca Los Ojo s , Wildlands Netrok , and the Cochise Conser vation Recharge Net work
