Celebrated storyteller and illusionist Wolfgang Poe invites you to an unforgettable evening where he will unveil thirteen haunted artifacts—mementos bound to ghost stories, Southern tragedies, and secrets that refuse to stay buried.
Each artifact carries its own tale, you may find the line between audience and apparition beginning to blur. You might just become part of the story.
When the final tale is told, return to the living with a decadent dessert buffet provided by Diletto Bakery, plus coffee and hot cocoa.
On Wednesday, October 8 at 1:30pm, the Hall County community will celebrate the upcoming return of an East Hall Library The groundbreaking ceremony for this new Hall County Library branch will be held at the East Hall Community Center at 3911 P Davison Road in Gainesville
The new East Hall Library will connect to the existing East Hall Community Center, which will allow the community convenient access to both facilities After sporting events, those in attendance can head over to the library to check out new books, attend library programs, or use the library’s high speed internet. The location will also offer handy access to students in that area.
Some of the exciting features of the 9300 square foot library will include high speed internet with computers for public use and wireless access; copying and printing capability; study rooms; a makerspace; a program room; a podcast studio; a Library of Things; children’s and teen areas; and a wraparound porch And, of course - thousands of books and audiovisual materials for all ages
“The former East Hall Library closed in 2011 following budget cuts that happened after the 2008 recession,” Hall County Library Director Lisa MacKinney said “So, the citizens in this area of the County have needed a public space with these types of amenities for a long time, especially with the growth this area has seen following the relocation of Lanier Technical College We are excited to finally be able to fill that need in our Community We appreciate the support of Hall County voters and our elected officials, which made this possible”
The East Hall Library is being funded by SPLOST (Special Local Option Sales Tax) along with a $3 million dollar grant from the state of Georgia, which was made possible through the efforts of our state delegation
The library’s expected completion date is fall 2025; however, delays in the construction process could affect the estimated completion date The building was designed by library specialists CAS Architecture, and the contractor is Carroll Daniel Construction from Gainesville.
