STAFF SPOTLIGHT

Jennifer - North Hall Tech

What excites you most about joining the Hall County Library System and becoming the new Branch Manager at the North Hall Tech Center?

I am genuinely thrilled to join the team and become the Branch Manager at the North Hall Tech Center! It's a truly wonderful place, and I'm eager to continue fostering community relationships and expanding our programming I look forward to meeting our patrons and becoming a familiar face within the North Hall community. Building strong connections is a priority for me, and I'm excited to understand the needs and interests of the individuals we serve.

Are there any particular library programs or initiatives that you're passionate about bringing to this branch?

I am particularly enthusiastic about programs that encourage a love of reading. While I don't have specific ideas fully formed yet, I would love to hear input from the community about the types of programs they would find most engaging I believe libraries offer so much more than just books

What are some of your favorite books, authors, or genres?

I enjoy historical fiction, romance, and mystery novels. One book I particularly enjoyed was *Palindrome* by Stuart Woods, which sparked my interest in other fiction set in Cumberland Island, as well as nonfiction about the area. Through my work in a children's library, I've also developed a deep appreciation for children's literature. Some of my favorites include the books of Gary Paulsen, especially *Harris and Me*, and *Gladys the Magic Chicken* by Adam Rubin.

When you're not at the library, what are some of your favorite hobbies or ways to spend your free time?

Outside of work, I love to read, cook, and spend time outdoors. I cherish time with my family and enjoy hiking in the North Georgia Mountains and taking trips to the beach.
