TOTEBAG CONTEST

FRIENDS OF THE HALL COUNTY LIBRARY
The Friends of the Hall County Library are excited to announce a unique fundraising initiative that combines community creativity with support for your local library! We're launching a tote bag fundraiser and art contest, offering two exciting ways to get your hands on a stylish and library-themed tote.

Contest Timeline: April 1st - May 1st 2025
Option 1: Unleash Your Inner Artist

Do you have a knack for design? We invite you to participate in our art contest! For a $10 entry fee, submit your original artwork that celebrates the library – books, reading, community, or anything library-related! The winning design will be featured on our exclusive Friends of the Library tote bag. Imagine your art carried around town, showing your support for this vital community resource!
Option 2: Become a Friend, Submit Your Art & Get a Tote!
Looking for a guaranteed way to snag one of these fantastic tote bags? Become a member of the Friends of the Hall County Library! With membership levels starting at just $25, you'll be able to enter your design in the tote bag contest and, not only receive the limited-edition tote bag featuring the winning artwork, but you'll also be supporting the library's vital programs and services.
Ready to submit your art or become a Friend? Paper entries can be obtained and submitted at any Hall County Library location. Art submissions must be completed on the paper entry sheet and within the 10 by 6 inch landscape area provided by May 1st 2025. A panel of judges will select the winning design based on creativity, relevance to the library, and visual appeal. Get those creative juices flowing and show us what the library means to you!

April 6 -12 th th
Millions of people across the country visit their libraries every week.
What’s the draw? Everything.
From young families stopping in for play and storytime, to students sketching out their next creative project in a makerspace, to seniors seeking tech help and everyone in between, libraries of all kinds help us connect the dots from one part of our journey to the next. Chart your next literary adventure by browsing the stacks or joining a book club. Let an author color your imagination at an author talk, outline your big business idea at an entrepreneur workshop, or trace your history with your library’s genealogy resources. Make your mark and get involved with your library by volunteering or spreading the word.
Whatever draws you in, the library has something for everyone. Celebrate National Library Week, April 6 - 12, 2025.

In The Gallery In The Gallery

Ann Pino is an artist from Maine who has always had a love of nature and architecture. She captures photos from her many favorite locations in her daily life. Ann moved from Maine to Gainesville, GA, several years ago to further her artistic journey. In 2017, after a medical event, her artistic focus shifted to also include acrylic pouring techniques. Creating a custom canvas filled with creative and unique color pallets became her new hobby. Seeing the custom shades she creates and watching the layers ebb and flow to reveal the piece and all of its hidden beauty in the final stages of the canvas brings her happiness and a sense of accomplishment. She especially loves experimenting with different materials such as art deco wooden items and even lawn and garden elements for a new and fun twist in her art
