The proposed design of the High Line Recreation Center aims to serve as both the starting and ending point of the High Line, offering an extended and immersive journey that encourages movement, exploration, and exercise. Inspired by other successful projects along the High Line, the design embraces the elevated park by integrating built forms both above and below it, creating a dynamic, multidimensional experience for visitors. This approach enhances connectivity while preserving the character and essence of the High Line.
Additionally, the design takes into consideration the future development of the train yard, contributing to the envisioned mixed-use expansion over the existing rail infrastructure. By seamlessly integrating with proposed developments, the project supports the broader urban vision for the area, fostering a vibrant, interconnected, and forward-thinking community.

Located at 1801 NW S River Dr, Miami, FL 33125, the Miami Eco Hub is a visionary nonprofit, mixed-use facility designed to foster public education, environmental exhibitions, and dynamic co-working spaces. Its mission is to drive environmental innovation by supporting emerging green technology startups, providing them with the resources and collaborative environment necessary to develop sustainable solutions for the future. The proposed building is strategically situated within the existing Sewell Park, a historically and ecologically significant green space along the Miami River. The design concept is deeply rooted in responding to the site’s flooding challenges, ensuring resilience while enhancing public accessibility and engagement with the riverfront.

One of the core principles of the Miami Eco Hub’s design is giving back 100% of the building’s footprint to the public through innovative urban interventions. To achieve this, the main level of the eco hub and its immediate surroundings have been elevated, creating a flood-resilient environment while enhancing the visitor experience. This elevation allows for multi-tiered terraces, berms, and outdoor seating areas, which seamlessly integrate with the natural landscape of Sewell Park, providing vibrant public gathering spaces along the waterfront.

The design approach prioritizes maximizing scenic views, particularly highlighting the pool area and the breathtaking panorama of Barbados’ west coast. The architectural layout strategically positions key spaces, such as, the living areas, dining space, and primary bedrooms to capture these vistas, enhancing the indoor-outdoor connection and creating a seamless integration with the surrounding landscape.
This four-bedroom, four-and-ahalf-bathroom residence spans approximately 3,900 square feet, offering a spacious yet functional layout. The open-concept design encourages natural ventilation and daylighting, reinforcing a sense of openness and tranquility. Expansive windows, sliding glass doors, and possibly wrap-around terraces or balconies contribute to unobstructed sightlines and a strong visual connection to the pool and ocean beyond.
Additionally, the orientation and spatial arrangement are likely influenced by the local climate, ensuring passive cooling strategies and shading elements that enhance comfort while reducing energy consumption. The design ethos embodies a luxurious yet sustainable lifestyle, blending contemporary aesthetics with the natural beauty of the island setting.

Photography is in the eye of the beholder, and we perceive it differently. As a creative, I was always fascinated with the close ups, looking up and untouched nature. From this it ignited a passion to look at objects from a perspective not usually appreciated with the eye. Capturing light, shadow and texture as the site within its surroundings has become a hobby for me.
Photography is a deeply personal and subjective art form, shaped by the unique perspective of each individual. What one person sees as an ordinary moment, another may perceive as a striking composition of light, texture, and emotion. As a creative, I have always been drawn to the finer details close-up shots that reveal intricate textures, upward perspectives that distort and enhance familiar forms, and untouched nature that showcases raw beauty.
This fascination has fueled my passion for capturing objects and environments from angles that are often overlooked, offering a fresh perspective on the world around us. Whether it’s the way light filters through tree branches, the interplay of shadows on architectural surfaces, or the rich textures of weathered materials, I find joy in observing and documenting these elements in their purest form.
For me, photography is more than just a means of capturing moments; it is a way to explore and interpret my surroundings. It a llows me to frame ordinary scenes in an extraordinary way, highlighting details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Over time, this practice has evolved into a personal hobby one that encourages me to slow down, appreciate the nuances of my environment, and continuously seek new ways to see the world through my lens.
