SELECTED WORK 2020-2022

I was born and raised in an agricultural town full of farms. Growing up, I was passionate about the environment, plants, nature, and outside areas. Moving to high school, I noticed a deficiency in the design of public spaces and outside areas, as there is no professional landscape architecture community in Oman. While choosing what I would study at the university, I came across a new major never heard before, which is landscape architecture; with some research, I found it deals with culture, ecology, and outside spaces, and there are few scholarships in that field. Since I love embracing new challenges and love being in public spaces, I want to design places for the public and see them enjoying it. I did apply, won a government scholarship, and came to the University of Nebraska Lincoln to study landscape Architecture.

Though my designs, I tryed to develop space serves the environment and creates experience and memories in the user’s mind.

Ascent Plaza

This Project used simple stripes that divide the plaza into 4 different zones. The design of this plaza aims to put the right program in the right place. The Hammock program is an area that has low noise levels. Also, there is a plant added in that area so the people can relax and chill peacefully. The table tennis program is equipped with a shade structure and setting. People can play in that area, and also, they can bring their friends to watch them. The elevated Lawn and water jets are the focus of the place; it is elevated from the north with a setting and sunken in the south where it is connected with the water. So, kids can play with water jets while their parents can watch them. The setting program is equipped with a lot of trees. So, people can sit under the tree’s canopy.

The inspiration for the design came from a view I saw when I was on a trip to Colorado. While I was crossing the great plans I noted these long agriculture strips that extend for long distances. this view made me include these strips in my design and in each strip, i will include a program.

Multi-Scalar Investigation

In this project, we were assigned to redesign an area of around 270 acres in Qingdao city in China. the area that we redesigned used to be a golf course and it has mountainous features and we have to turn it into an ecological park. the park was designed to support the off er of the Qingdao Government to around 65% of the city green meantime it create places where people can go and have fun. the park is designed to keep as many as possible of existing trees. also, the park connects the city with the ocean and connects the right part of the city and the left part of the city by a shoreline walkway. the park has three main zones Discovery and Education Zone, Spots and Socialization Zone, and Meadow garden zone.

Towards New Urban Frontage

Instructor: Yujia Wang Benson future

The site of this project is an area of around 20 acres, located in Benson, Omaha, Nebraska. Benson is located strategically between NW Radial Hwy and Maple street. It is one of the oldest creative districts in Omaha. It is known for its mural and graffiti art. Maple Street is filled with different retailers. In this project, we work in teams of two people. The main focus was the creation of a public framework and advancing spatial justice. The design was divided into a series of phases, starting with discussing what spatial justice is, and followed through with case studies, vision-building, spatial models and strategies, and detailed urban and landscape spaces. Along with that, we develop a lens of “The Rights To (TRT)” to keep track of the qualitative performance of the design.

Key public Framework

To further the design scheme, it was essential to think about addressing and expanding the rights of special justice. One of the critical aspects to achieve that is to create a space of common goods, break boundaries, and create opportunities for the community. Mixed-income housing programs ensure that there is no discrimination and that the low-income are not marginalized. On the third floor of the mixed-income housing, there is a common space in the air where several programs, such as restaurants, community centers, and community gardens, as well as viewing, occur. These Publicprograms increase the interactions between the residents of this building as no residence.

In furthering this loop’s development, It’s connected to the retail area by an elevated walkway. Then links to the architecture tower, which provides educational opportunities to learn more about ecology and overlook the surrounding areas at the top. Then it connects to the recreation Center’s Second floor, where outdoor games and restaurants are available. Finally, it ties back into the m mixed-income housing.

Public outdoor space

To expand access to special justice Rights. It was important to have outdoor space since the current site has no park. Sports bark would be a blaze that thrives with interactions and eliminate boundaries. It is equipped with many Active places sportcoats such as basketball, volleyball, and soccer as well as some activities such as climbing rocks playgrounds. Also, it has passive spaces. Also, it has a shared agricultural tower where on its first floor A coffee shop and on the second-floor agricultural exhibit and museum th rest of the floors are used for agricultural farming, and at the top is a viewpoint of the city
