This project is based right at the cusp of where a bustling commercial district turns into quiet residential streets. The building mimics the shape of its site and compliments its surrounding context. The design encourages seamless movement through its entrance to an outdoor performance space and to the nature at its end. Connectivity as a driver for art creation dictated overall elements of this design.

Acknowledging the importance of collaboration and innovation, this design encourages interaction across disciplines in a study center located on the University of Florida campus. Open-air walkways and large glass facades connect all inhabitants with one another and create a beautiful merging of minds,

Celestial mapping of sky above site
Following studies of dystopianism and Big Brother ideals, this tower is a representation of the differing paths of obedience versus insubordination. Large spaces housing large mobs conceal hidden paths to the top. The path less chosen is the hardest to take, but you must dissent in order to ascent.

Montage study of today’s “hive mind”
This project explores scale, program, boundary, and threshold within a space to represent a concept or idea through Imagism.. This final design serves as a place for the holding of books and the production of memory. The result was an exploration of the dichotomy between science and philosophy–a construct with two divided wings for each subject, which then intersect at a circular water observatory. When looked down upon, this observatory reflects the stars above, where both subjects stop in rumination of the unknown of the Universe
