Quiet Strength
This is one of the first paintings I ever did. I painted it during my senior year of high school. The entire project was up to me, and I even built and stretched the canvas. I wanted to practice with a life-size scale. This painting is right at about 3’ in height.

Sketches Ink on Paper
I wanted to both test and expand my sketching skills by removing the ability to erase. I began with simple and quick hand studies shown above.
I then sketched a girl using a variety of hatching styles.
Wisdom
When I set out to do this drawing, I was beginning to apply to colleges, and I really had to think about my future. I finally found the subject of my drawing to be an old and wise man whose wisdom I wished I had.
