Mr Broad indicated that there was a clear demographic shift to delivering high quality, low-maintenance homes in secure and engaging lifestyle communities.

“Today’s over 50’s are looking for something very different from previous generations,” he said.

“While many in this age group are looking to downsize and de-clutter, they do not want to completely change their way of life”.

Mr Broad believes many in this age group want to free themselves of the duties involved in maintaining a house and yard, but many regard downsizing to an apartment too drastic.

“In many cases there is a strong
