Soft,diffusedreflectionsemergeassunlightembracesthecalmsurfaceofOkanaganLake.The synergy between the waves of Okanagan Lake and sun rays creates a dynamic and tranquil interplay of reflecting light that can be seen from afar and deep within the waters. Within the water, the sunlight transforms into a beacon, guiding the way back to the surface of the water. The movement of the reflections created from the water and sunlight invites a serene and peacefulatmosphere,thatalsobeckonstobeexplored.

ExhibitionArtistIntroduction:

Using dangerous but beautifully striking materials, multimedia artist andfilmmakerEtsukoIchikawaaimstouseherartasahomagetoher Japanese background and culture. Her art is also used to advocate and educate her audience on nuclear energy and the environment in response to the nuclear disaster in her homeland of Japan. Molten glass is used to create designs and patterns on paper, called pyrographs.Ichikawaalsomixesandtransformsglasswithuraniumto create mysterious sculptures representing Ichikawa’s activism on environmentalsustainability.

LaMarquesaisaEuropeanfusionrestaurantandbarlounge.Therestaurant’saesthetic isinspiredbySt.Edward’scrown,whichfeaturesgolddetailingandapurplecap.These colours and the crown represent the level of status and wealth within European aristocracyandnobility.Thisaesthetic,combinedwiththerestaurant’sfinediningmenu, indulgespatronsinaroyal-likeexperience.
