What you need to know about the Haig Point ARB!
The ARB (Architectural Review Board) was established to oversee and ensure compliance with Haig Point’s design standards and guidelines, promote aesthetic harmony, preserve property values, and promote the safety and well-being of the community. It is comprised of an Administrator, Haig Point Board Liaison, a Chairperson, and several Committee Members. All except for the Administrator are volunteers and Haig Point members.
New homes must go through the ARB review and approval process. Most changes to the external appearance of any existing home and property will also require ARB consideration and approval. The homeowner is responsible for compliance with the ARB Design Guidelines. The ARB meets monthly to review submissions, and Committee Members often make site visits to carefully consider potential impact on the surrounding area. Minor projects such as paint color changes, landscaping changes, etc. may also be reviewed via email and decisions rendered outside of the scheduled monthly meeting in order to respond more quickly. It is the ARB’s objective to review submissions in a timely manner and return decisions promptly. Homeowners are encouraged to attend the ARB meeting either in person or by Zoom when their project is being reviewed.
