The story behind the name

Working with you

HAGS is European with Scandinavian roots and was born during the 1950’s when a small Swedish engineering company took an order for a swing frame from a local community.

When it was installed people started talking about it and the owners saw an opportunity to refocus the company in the production of playground structures.

Our philosophy is to inspire all generations by creating exciting play areas that: attract customers to your site, improve your customers experience, increase dwell time and increase your foot traffic providing you with a great return on investment.

Family Parks

The Hop Farm The Hop Farm in Kent attracts thousands of visitors every year. Their play solution features large bespoke tower structures that emulate those found in the famous listed ‘Grand Hop Tower’. This large adventure play structure has helped transform the site into an all-day attraction with visitors spending longer at the facility and repeat visitor numbers increasing.

On this site, a series of large towers have been linked together with bridges of varying types, thus creating a ’journey’ across the site where the user can experience various challenges and obstacles along the way. Once through this series of challenges, you reach the destination - a balcony on the main building of the site, which was pre-existing and is now linked to this innovative play structure.

Holiday Parks

Camber Sands One of Parkdean Resorts’ most iconic and busiest holiday parks planned large new play areas as part of a major refurbishment of their outdoor facilities.

HAGS came up with a marine-themed design to provide as much play value for as many children as possible using contemporary equipment.

The completed play areas look fantastic and are a real focal point of the park’s extensive outdoor facilities. We visited the site in the weeks following completion to find the play area buzzing at 8.30 in the morning!

Shopping Villages

Clarks Village Working with Clarks Village, HAGS designed and installed an exciting new play area, named King Arthur’s Forest. There is something here for all ages and abilities and it adds a new dimension to a family day out shopping! A fabulous place for the children to let off steam before the next round of shops are conquered.

Open all year round, the play area keeps children (and parents) amused for hours, with slides, swings, tree-house towers, bridges, rockers and friendly wooden creatures.

Pubs and Restaurants

The Punch Tavern The Punch Tavern, like so many pubs, is both a local and a popular tourist destination. The customer had a large, outside seating area which frequently hosted external diners. They wanted to provide a great new play area for children to attract and retain more families without losing their capacity for drinkers and diners.

The Licensee told us that during the weeks following completion of the scheme, that they had been really busy and had received great feedback from their customers. They particularly liked the number of features on the play equipment and told us children are entertained for hours, not just five minutes!

Budget-friendly Solutions from our Inspection & Maintenance team

Do you have an existing playground that just needs a bit of TLC? HAGS Inspection and Maintenance team provides a complete range of national services, covering playground inspections, maintenance, repairs and refurbishments, to keep your playgrounds and sports areas well maintained and safe.

We undertake on-site inspections, repairs and refurbishments on any manufacturer’s equipment (even those who are no longer trading).

Repairs HAGS refurbishments start by undertaking a site survey to establish the condition of the equipment and, based on its structural integrity, we will notify you if refurbishment is a viable option.

If a refurbishment is feasible we will identify which parts can be reconditioned and which need replacing. We then provide a fully-costed proposal. At every stage of your project, you will find our team to be both professional and personable.
