A Resource Centre which act as an extension unit of Avani Institute of Design, furthering its agenda and enabling design thinking and allied activities. The project focus on exploring innovative architectural forms, circulation paths, and spatial layouts, creating unique, functional concepts while adhering to regulations, technology and context.

7 The Elysium| 1

The resource centre is envisioned primarily as a space for conducting workshops and design-related exercises. There are three dedicated workshops.The woodworking workshop,the digital prototyping lab,and the robotic fabrication lab. It also provides a co-working space and ancillary facilities. There are provisions for the accommodation of instructors and participants also.

about competition :The goal of this competition is to transform the classroom that is presently being built by TOB into a fully equipped educational center that provides a pleasant and suitable environment for learning, socializing, and community involvement. The creation of the new educational center would enable TOB to broaden its reach by serving more children, offering a wider range of subjects and activities, providing education programs for adults, and promoting crosscultural comprehension among pupils and volunteers.

Concept : Haven, rooted in the principles of learning, empowerment, joy, and com-munity, emerges as an architectural embodiment that serves as an educational beacon. This distinctive space not only imparts knowledge but also elevates both students and the community at large. By fostering a profound positive impact, it enhances the educational landscape for local children, cultivates improved prospects for students’ career ad-vancement, fosters social and civic engagement within the community.

The design ensures panoramic visibility throughout the plot, granting unobstructed sightlines from any vantage point. Employ ing organic architectural forms that seamlessly integrate with one another, the composition achieves a harmonious blend. This intentional approach not only creates a visually captivating environment but also establishes multiple pathways and interaction spots within the space. These thoughtful design elements promote active engagement and foster connectiv ity among the users, enhancing the overall experiential quality of the space.

Project is to design avisionary housing development that integrates well balanced work + living conditions in design.The project aims to demonstrate a new Kerala vision for sustainable and self-sufficient work + living conditions in theyear 2030.

19 Wood design district| 1

The Kallayi Wood Design District will be a collaborative workspace uniting designers, woodworkers, engineers, and marketers to craft innovative wooden furniture. It’ll feature a spacious workshop for custom pieces, areas for designers to brainstorm and collaborate, and spaces for marketing and sales. This hub will showcase Kallayi’s unique craftsmanship globally. Additionally, efforts will focus on wood recycling and waste reduction, repurposing excess wood for biomass energy or new products, promoting eco-friendly practices in the wooden furniture sector in Kallayi.

Architecture inspired by metabolism features housing units with a universal base design that accommodates everyone’s basic needs. However, the flexibility of the design allows for individual customization and upgrades in the future. This adaptability aligns with the movement’s principles, emphasizing modularity and the ability to evolve with changing requirements, fostering sustainable and inclusive living environments.

The project focus on the experiential aspects of architecture through the exploration of form, material, expression, aesthetics and so on with a hypothetical site, but one with a deliberate visual context reminiscent of the local and regional characters.

The clients, a flower trader and a designer couple, require a versatile living and working space. They need a garden shop and design studio, as well as a living room, dining area, four bedrooms, and a tranquil backyard garden. The flower shop should have an easily accesible customer access while remaining attached to the house for privacy.
