The Digital Hub Final Project Studio | 2020 | Academic Works

By establishing Grade A commercial space, it serves prospective tenants and offers diverse options throughout the city.

Once a vast untapped swamp area, Gedebage is being developed to maximize its potential. Summarecon and other stakeholders are making establishments in their development to increase their township value. However, for the time being, residential seems to be the only apparent typologies built here. It is necessary for the developers to stimulate other activities, especially activities related to technological-advancement, to reclaim Bandung Teknopolis development purposes.

Furthermore, the establishment of research centre and office could stimulate technology industry activity and achieve the purpose of Bandung Teknopolis development. Summarecon, as the landowners and developer should initiate the commence of Technopark office development. By doing a pilot project and proving its success, it would stimulate the market and allure investors to invest and develop their plot of land, bringing the massive establishment to the area.

There are opportunities for the developers and investors to develop office spaces for technology-based company. There would be a massive influx of technology based business in the future, and they would need representative spaces to run their business. Investors can consider building Grade A office and retail spaces. In general, the Bandung area lacks commercial spaces of such degree.

The facilities need to address issues related to the technology industry to set its competitive advantage. Designers should address issues regarding users activity and connectivity to maximize its design.

Cibadak Mixed Use Architecture Design Studio | 2019 | Academic Works

Cibadak is a neighbourhood located in the centre of Bandung. This area is well known for its rich heritage—the presence of Chinese shophouses and cultures allure people to flock into the community. The neighbourhood promises excellent opportunity on the tourism industry, due to its adjacency to the Alun-Alun Bandung and its distinctive identity. However, Cibadak faces urban deterioration phenomena which hinder its potential. Therefore, new development is proposed to rejuvenate the area and maximise its potential. Tentor : Dr.Ir. Christina Gantini M.T.

The prominence of the tourism industry plays a significant role in the urban regeneration process of Alun-Alun district. It involves reuse and redevelopment of buildings to fit newer programmes. The caveat here, much urban regeneration attempts include massive building teardown to make way for new development. Ironic, as the attempt to rejuvenate community turns into culture destructions. The more recent establishment appears with no regard to existing urban fabrics, making it feels cloistral.

Furthermore, it should pay respect to the urban fabrics to strengthen community image and induce tourism activity. The establishment needs to differ itself from another development and offer its own unique selling point. Communityscale issues such as permeability and social gathering point can be addressed to attract the locals. Building functions and programmes adjust to a targeted segment; therefore, the market could easily accept and make use of the development. Hotels are programmed for a 3-stars chain, and also apartments are programmed for the midto-low market.

The segment of Cibadak in question needs rejuvenation. It requires development that establishes 24-hour cycle activities to address the urban deterioration problem.

Community Park Landscape Design Studio | 2018 | Academic Works

The case given was to design a community park in Cisitu neighborhood of Bandung, Indonesia. It aimed to provide ample spaces for the locals in the nearby neighborhood to gather, thus improving the accessibility that is needed to connect both Sangkuriang and Cisitu neighborhood, which was poorly connected. The approach was through site analysis and inventory method to determine its characteristics and locality values. In result, it is a well laid community park plan that is both interesting and effective. Tentor : Dr.Ing. Andry Widyowijatnoko S.T., M.T.

The mass initial idea was to act as separators between the parking facility and the park area. Hence the mass formed a linear-like shape that is later on subtracted to give space for both pedestrian and wind circulation.

The pedestrian flow is laid out in one curvilinear form that connects the two poorly connected area; the Sangkuriang and Cisitu neighborhood. Vehicular circulation is intended to be minimal to encourage walking activities.

The area is differentiated based on its topography characteristics. It is differentiated mainly into 3 areas; the building pad, water reservoir and greeneries area.
