We offer a range of essential services, including emergency light testing, fire alarm testing, fixed wire testing, and portable appliance testing (PAT), ensuring your systems are reliable and meet all safety standards.
To further support your operations, we also provide air conditioning filter cleaning and extractor fan maintenance, helping maintain a clean, efficient, and safe environment for your team and customers. If you’re sold already, call or email us and we’ll book an initial verification visit to your business premises that you’re looking to cover. If you have any further questions or have any concerns, please also get in touch with us so we can answer them.

Once the verification stage is complete and the installation has passed, we’ll walk you through what to do in the event of an emergency and schedule the first two bi annual checks into our system,
Our initial verification process is to assess the current installation that you’d like to cover, ensuring it meets our compliance threshold. If it does, the service plan can commence immediately otherwise, remedial action will be required first We’ve outlined our compliance threshold below

1. What does the Hackwood Electrical Service Plan cover?
This varies depending on the tier that’s chosen. As standard, we carry out RCD, fire alarm and emergency lighting tests on a six monthly basis
2. How long is the minimum contract period?
Our service plan requires a 24-month commitment. This ensures all inspections, tests, and services are provided consistently to maintain compliance and safety standards.
3. What inspections and tests are performed?
During the 24-month contract, we’ll carry out:
• A comprehensive EICR to ensure your electrical system is compliant.
• An EPC to help you meet energy efficiency requirements.
• Annual visual inspections to identify potential issues.
• Bi-annual smoke detector and RCD tests to ensure safety systems are working effectively.
4. What happens if I have an emergency?
For emergencies, we guarantee a 48-hour response time silver plan customers and 24-hours for gold.
• Call-out fees are waived for both silver and gold plan members.
• Emergency labor is charged at the reduced rate of £60/hour (normally £90/hour) for silver and gold plan members.
5. Is PAT testing included?
Yes, all the plans include PAT testing. The number of items included does vary on the plan with any devices above and beyond the plan limit charged on a per item basis.

Our compliance threshold is the minimum standard an installation needs to meet before it can be considered for our service plan. These metrics are core requirements that form part of BS 7671, BS 5266-1, and BS 5839 which govern electrical, emergency lighting and fire alarm installations.
To help you understand and to be as transparent as possible, we are looking for the following during the initial verification stage.
